What was the code? was it something like mcu ulg? the same thing happened to my stereo. i have the same one. I called the people who installed it but they said they have no clue about what i am talking about.

Take it back and get it replaced. It is an issue with the unit itself. Mine has died twice in 8 months, and both times, it has been looked at by the Clarion dealer, and they have replaced it under warranty. From memory the code that showed up was 'MCU UPG' which relates to a firmware update to improve microphone volume for the BlueTooth Handsfree option. Problem is, it goes for the update when there is nothing connected, then bricks the head unit.

There is no fix except to get it replaced.

How can connect bluetooth in clarion cz500

Hold "D" button to enter the menu mode.
By using the previous/next button select BlueTooth menu by using the D button.
Use the volume to select auto connect.

I am also including the link to the manual just in case this doesn't work. Bluetooth menu will be on page 21.

this proble is usually caused by the tel mute cable getting trapped as you push the radio in to the dash, pull the radio out of the dash and see if you can see if any cables have gotten caught in the cage
