Question about Printers & Copiers

Printer will Not recognize ink cartridge

My problem is the printer will not recognize cartridge. I have removed, cleaned and redone that several times. Is there anything else I can do. My program is under Driver E. Should It be reinstalled to the USB Files? I am trying everything according to help site and it still will not work. I am using 94MX 4Xlife and an HP 95 (C8766W). IF the HP ink is wrong then what other color ink do I use?
Thank you very much.

Even OEM cartriges have a failure rate of 2%. Take the cartridges back for exchange.

Large black cartridge not recognized upon replacement for iP8720

Cheers Tom

In many cases when we place cartridge into the printer, they are not recognized, there may be many reasons why this happens, one of them is that the cartridges have dirty connectors.

The cartridge connectors are making contact with the printer, in this way as information is received and when to inject the ink, it is also who helps identify printer cartridges when they are connected.

Clean connectors cartridges helps in many cases to be recognized by the printer, it is recommended to clean something clean, and a small piece of cloth with water or isopropyl alcohol.

http://www.en.rellenadodecartuchos.com/2015/08/how-to-clean-connectors-connectors-in-ink-cartridges.html

If after cleaning the cartridge connectors, the problem persists, you should clean the connectors but in this case the printer.

For this you need to open the door that gives access to the cartridges, remove the cartridges from the printhead and then with something clean and a cloth to clean the connector head.

Im putting my refilled cartridges back in the printer and the On Off...

These are possible solutions, but when the cartridges are not recognized by the printer, there are many factors influencing the error and can carry the cartridges are not recognized.

Look electricity, place stronger cartridges - it is possible that are not making contact properly - try to open the side door of the printer, something may be wrong with cartridges.

Take time and see if does not help, write a comment, I'll be around.

Printer doesnot recognise ink cartridge

  1. Remove the cartridge and reinstall it.
  2. Power cycle the printer, and then remove the cartridge and reinstall it.
  3. If the cartridge heads are blocked then soak them in window cleaning solution or warm water and then clean with a soft cotton swab.
  4. If the cartridge has been filled and still the printer does not print then the circuit of the cartridge may have failed.
  5. If the printer still doesn't recognize the ink cartridge, replace the ink cartridge with a New Retail cartridge.

My canon pixma iP 1800 does not recognise refilled colour cartridge. Can you suggest a fix?

  1. For the not-so-tech friendly, installing ink cartridges in printers can be messy and time-consuming. Although companies such as Canon are constantly trying to make designs more convenient for all users, there are still several tips that can help new printer owners install Canon PG-40 printer cartridges without mess or hassle.
  2. Compatibility
  3. Although many printer cartridges are specific to only a few models, the Canon PG-40 printer cartridge was designed for use with many models of the Canon Pixma and even some of the Canon fax machines. As of September 2010, the Canon PG-40 ink cartridge can be used with the Pixma iP1600 through iP1800 printers, the iP2600 printer, the MP140 through MP190 printers, the MP210 printer, the MP460 and 470 printers, the MX300 and MX310 printers and the JX200 and JX210P fax machines. This versatility allows users to stick with the same type of ink cartridge over the life of several printers and allows small business offices an opportunity to buy one type of cartridge for all office printing requirements.
  4. Refill
  5. Replacing printer cartridges can be expensive and, if it is possible, as it is with the Canon PG-40, refilling is a cheaper and more environmentally friendly option. Refill the PG-40 by gathering a 10 cubic centimeter syringe with a 1.5-inch needle, a pair of latex free gloves, an MIS Yellow Drill Tool, Scotch tape and black ink. Remove the label from the top of the cartridge and use the yellow drill tool to open the vent hole that was covered by the label. Next, load the syringe with 20 CCs of black ink and inject it into the ink hole (where ink leaves the cartridge for the page.) Make sure the needle reaches the bottom of the ink tank and then slowly inject the ink into the cartridge, stopping when the ink begins to well up at the needle insertion point. Now remove the needle and clean the top of the cartridge off to avoid color contamination. Put a small strip of Scotch tape over the vent hole and poke a small hole in the tape with a pin. Now reinsert the cartridge and run up to three cleaning cycles to calibrate the printer.
  6. Resetting the Ink Level
  7. While refilling ink in a PG-40 can save money, it can also cause difficulties when using the automatic ink level sensor. Reset this sensor by removing the cartridge after the printer has been calibrated and placing a thin strip of Scotch tape on the line of gold-colored leads nearest the ink hole on the bottom of the ink cartridge. Replace the cartridge and wait for the computer to display a warning about the ink cartridge being loaded incorrectly. Remove the cartridge and move the tape from the first to the second level of leads and replace the cartridge. When the PC displays a message that the cartridge is not recognized, remove the cartridge and replace without the tape. The ink level will be reset.

Color Ink prints fine but Black ink will not print. Have replaced both black in cartridges and Cleaned several times. Have turned off printer and computer after cleaning. Nothing working.

You could clean the black ink cartridge. For this you need to remove the black ink cartridge which is present in the printer. In order to clean the laser or scanner block you could use a cotton swab as it would fully clean the dirt. You need to clean the grime and the dried ink present in the printer. This would remove all the hindrances which prevent the ink from flowing. Cleaning the printer heads would also help to solve the problem.

Printer would recognize black ink i have replace the in three times with brand new cartridges any idea what to do

Sounds like your new cartridges are not being recognized, correct?

If not done already please ensure each cartridge has any plastic packing strips (usually with a colored tab) off the outside of the cartridge. Vendors use these to cover the contacts and/or the print heads for shipping and can be tricky to see.

Otherwise please ensure no ink has spilled or leaked into the slot where your printer cartridge goes. Use good computer cleaning swabs or wipes to remove any ink spill or dirt there. Gold contacts should be clean. Good cleaning wipes or swabs will let you remove dirt and ink but not leave fuzz or strands of cloth in printer. At this time you can also ensure no paper or labels etc are left inside covering gold contacts.
