Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) here that demonstrates how it's done.

You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.

Dear Mr Caroldon, Could you please suggest what I could do to repair my Breville mixer? It has stooped working for no visible reason. Model: NO HB17. I have changed the fuse in the plug; it...

Hello

Some of the simplest microwave oven problems that cause microwaves to stop working are easily fixable,

Bad interlock switches or a misaligned door can cause the oven's fuses to blow or just cause it to not start when you push the Start button. This problem can be easily resolved by locating and replacing the defective switches or by realigning the door, depending on the problem.

One old-school problem of sorts is a blown fuse due to a power surge or just plain old age if the oven's been in your use for several years. The answer is simple in this case, just replace the fuse and your oven should spark into life good as new. On a related note, there have been some rare cases when the main fuse may actually be the causing some strange symptoms, in this case as well replacing the faulty fuse is the answer.

In some cases you might have a buggy oven, and we're not talking about electric bugs, we're talking about real bugs making a nest in yourmicrowave oven, it's been known to happen because the circuit board is a nice warm and safe place for bugs.

But what should you do when you're faced with a faulty microwave, should you repair it or replace it?If you have an old unit,Considering the fact that they're relatively cheap by most standards, replacing amicrowave oven will usually prove to be the better way of going about rather than repairing it because the repair bill will usually be close if not over the price of a new unit.

How do you clean inbetween the oven glass door?

Hi,

To clean between you need to remove one of the pieces of glass...usually the inside is the best....

There are a few screws on the inside of the door theat hold the frame, which holds the inside glass...

remove the frame and carefully remove the inside glass... clean the inside of the outside glass, then clean the inside of the inside glass and then reinstall the froame over the inside glass...

Now you have a clean ove glass again...

Magic chef panel does not work. turns on and off by itself.

the only way the unit that ive encountered with that problem was when bugs aka roaches ran across the circuit board and turned on a range while the customer was on vacation. sorry for being blunt. let me know if this help. you never know this tip might help prevent a fire.

Microwave doesn't heat

check your door safety interlock switches ...

switch burned = no circuit

no circuit = door open (as far as the oven is concerned)

door open = no magnatron action

no magnatron action = no heat

Of course it could be something else ... but if it is the switch, you can easy fix that.

Condensation inbetween glass door on GE Spacemaker

Your glass seal has failed and I doubt it makes sense to replace the door. Yes, it can be dangerous as the moisture becomes worse you risk the chance the glass could over-heat and blow out. Sounds like you need to replace it, sorry!

Damaged door on microwave

Buy a detector to test your microwave to be sure it is not leaking radiation. The detectors range in price from ten dollars to about thirty five dollars and can be purchased in most hardware stores. If you discover that the microwave is leaking radiation, never try to repair this appliance yourself. Take the microwave to a professional for repair. All things considered though, the microwave oven is fairly inexpensive these days it may be a better idea to just purchase a new one.

Kitchenaid model KHHS179LSS Microwave oven handle replacement

There is a pin holding the door on upper right hand corner of the door. Holding the door in the open position, lift up on the door a little and remove the pin. The door will come off. There are two screws on the edges of the door on the end where the handle is located. Remove the screws. Now, Take a slim screw driver, and carefully pry between the inside door panel and the ourside door panel starting at the end where the door handle is. Lift the inside of the door out. The opposite end of the inside door panel will come out last. Believe me, this works. Getting it back together is a little bit different, but it snaps back together without using tools. Just put the inside of the door back by laying it down with the handle side down after you have replaced the handle of course. Now, pushing in on the inside of the door panel starting on the handle side, start with lining up the panel and push gently. It will go back into place much much easier than it comes out.
