I have had this camera for a few years and it has been excellent. Recently when taking pics the image flickers and horizontal lines appear across the image both in the viewfinder and the recorded image. I have replaced the batteries with new rechargeable ones and this has made no difference. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?
Hi. From past experience I would say that these symptoms suggest the early stages of CCD failure. It usually starts with lines etc as you describe and progresses into wavy, blurry pictures or partial pictures and eventually the ccd just goes black. If it is CCD failure, the camera will usually still work when viewing pics that are already on the card.

HI there if your focus having problem then the images will come blury. But as per your problem its a lens sensor error or problem. Just replace the sensor and you will get the proper colored image. Thanks.
The camera can only see images if they are in the folder, the camera placed them in when they were taken. Try formatting the card in the camera.
Menu/OK, Setup, Format, OK.
All files will be deleted in the process, so make sure you have saved all images first.
ur camera may be on service

some units manufactured b4 2005 u have to email them they will repair
it free of charge
They [ cameras and tripods]all have a standard screw fitting. So all cameras will fit all tripods. The only factors therefore to consider is- weight[As it is a small digicam] you will not need a heavy weight one and the depth of your purse.
Best bet take the camera along to a store and try a few. If it is not to be a surprise take Hubby too to try them out for himself. ;-}
Ahhhhh! I have the same problem occuring!! I cleaned all of the battery terminals and replaced the batteries, and STILL have this problem, although not as frequent. It always happens when I take the best pics, the image shows on the screen for a fraction of a second, and then the whole camera shuts off. Again, I can play back images with no problem. What's the deal here?? It's become so frustrating that I just want to throw the camera in the garbage. It has been such a good camera up until this point. PLEASE, someone help us here!!!
