This is an indication of a bad motor. You will need to change the pump.

sounds like the pump was not primed correctlly, most pumps of that kind need to be installed, and filled completely with water to get out any air.

The svl56s models can be between 1.5-3 HP.
If it is the model mentioned above (svl56se115) then it is a 1.5HP motor.

it sounds as if your skimmer is leaking, either from the plastic body, or from the faceplate gasket. to confirm this, shut off you pump and let the water settle. put your garden hose in the pool so that water is being added. get a container of food coloring, and slowly disperse it around the faceplate, and inside the body of the skimmer, and see if it gets drawn in anywhere. this will indicate your leak location. then call your installer, 2 weeks is unacceptable! good luck!

This may be due to clogged jets. Also, if this is a new application....the valves under the spa may not be in the up position to release the water to run into the pump and through to the jets. It may be a top side control issue as well. Check for error codes.
