How do i disassemble amana akt 3020 cooktop to replace switch

Top can be replaced but is around 4 to 500 dollars .

it is not a fuse. as if it shorted it may blow it and then nothing .. the sw to either one burner is at fault replace the sw 's ( both and the cook top should be ok . sw cost around 25 to 40 ea ..

raise cook top out of counter and remove screws holding glass top to base . remove glass and on the right is switch bank two screws holding each / remove and do not pull wires. but transfer one at a time noting that markings on old sw match new . . sw pt # is 12002125 and cost 49.35. and reinstall in reverse.. hope this helps . and do turn off the power before you start. mm good sailing .,

If you have parts of the cooktop not working I would replace it with a new one of your choice.

Fit two switches. Although this might be as expensive as a new cooktop.

you can call amana located in the colony's in IOWA i used to haul there units from coast to coast and if anyone has replacement parts it would be them!

not timely but no.
i have a dead switch, had to unhook it cause it kept tripping the breaker. 3 out of 4 work now.
can i buy 1 switch or do i need a whole new assembly. where to buy online ?
