My mouse pad has a scroll function that isn't working.

The scroll pad on the touch pad needs a particular driver Synaptics Pointing Device Driver. This will actually run at the startup after installed which will activate the functionality of scroll on the touch pad. You can also actually turn this function on and off so this is a friendly user.

Try going to Control Panel - Hardware and sound - mouse. Once you have the menu for the mouse open, go to device settings. Click settings, and all of the advanced controls for the functions of your mouse pad can be found there. Once in advanced settings, you should be able to enable the scroll function.

To disable the scroll function go to mouse properties;click device settings;click settings;expand overview;and you will see the scroll option, that's where you can disable it.

Need to enable Scroll function on the notebook.

Dear friend don't worry its so easy thing. You have functional in in your keyboard. Its called "Fn"
Press FN+F12 Key for turn off/on scroll function .

Is your pad scroll capable? Not all are. If it is, have you enabled it in the mouse settings via control panel? The default mode for some pads is non-scrolling and you have to manually enable this function. Also, some pads have small areas where the scroll works. Usually along the right and bottom edges of the pad. Anywhere else = no scroll.

I WAS READING AN ARTICALE IN THE TOUCH PAD SENTIVE ON THE MOUSE IS TO HIGH OR TO LOW

GO INTO CONTROL PANAL OPEN THE MOUSE LOOK IN THE PROPERTIES SETTING IN THE SCROL SECTION AND ADJUST THE SETTING WITCH WAY YOU WANT YOU WANT THE MOUSE TO WORK, WHEEL ADJUSTMENT MAY ALSO HELP ON HOW MANY LINE DO YOU WANT TO DO AT ONE TIME

I guess that some settings with touch pad might have changed.

try accessing the touch pad controls in the control panel.
may be its called synaptics ....
