My 20 year old electric Jenn Air range recently flashed the F7 error code and beeped repeatedly. I shut off the circuit breaker until it cooled. The next day I turned it on and everything seemed fine. We baked a pizza and the erro repeated when the oven was shut off. I opened the front panel and noticed the wire ribbon connecting the front panel to the display was slightly askew. How that happened is beyond me. I pulled out the ribbon hold down clips, pushed the ribbon in all the way, and replaced the hold down clips. The range is now working properly after replacing nothing. The cheapest fix possible.
HI - The code described, F3 then F2 both correspond with indicated failure of the temperature sensor. This is a fairly inexpensive part and is easy to replace. The normal resistance of the sensor is 1000-1100ohms. Worth fixing for sure. Complete model number from tag on unit will be needed to get correct part. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed- Thanks- Ed
I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)
Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode 1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or, 2. Intermittent contact on power relay board" This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?
