I need a masterkey to unlock parental controls for a preowned wii

Contact Microsoft's Tech Support and they will help you figure out the proper Reset Code that will work with your system.

1. Navigate to the Wii Menu by pressing the HOME button on a Wii Remote and selecting "Wii Menu."
2. Look at the date and time displayed on the Wii Menu and ensure they are correct. If incorrect, they will need to be changed in order for you to complete the PIN reset process. You will not be able to reset the PIN until the date is correct.
3. Select the Wii Options icon in the lower-left corner of the Wii Channel Menu.
4. Select "Wii Settings."
5. Click on the blue arrow to reach the Wii System Settings 2 menu options.
6. Select "Parental Controls," then "Yes."
7. Enter your PIN or select "I forgot."
8. Answer your secret question or tap "I forgot."
   • If you know the answer to your secret question, enter it to unlock parental controls. The system will go to the change parental controls screen and you will be able to change your PIN.
     • Be sure to enter the secret question exactly as you originally typed it, as the answer is case sensitive.
   • If you don't know the answer to your secret question, tap "I forgot."
9. A screen will appear showing you a request code.
10. With that request code, you will need to do a request that involves charging US$0.50 from a credit card, to confirm that you're an adult. Or should your kids try to circumvent your parental code, it will show up on your credit card bill.

1. At the Wii title screen click on "wii" (wii options) at the bottom left hand corner

NOTE: very important. You must have your wii set to the correct time and date.
8. After you enter your confirmation number and hit "get reset code" it will be near the top of the page "Your unlock code"
its 5 digits long.
9. Click on "ok" on your wii parental controls page that has your confirmation number.
10.Enter the master key (the same number that you got from this website, the 5 digits).

Go to parental controls in system settings. When it asks 'Change Parental Controls settings?' tap yes. When it brings up a numeric keypad, tap the center button, "I Forgot". Next, tap "I Forgot" again. Now you will be shown a screen with a number at the bottom (the 'inquiry number'). Go to wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp on your computer and enter this number in the field marked confirmation number. Set the current date in your timezone and click get reset code.


It does work for the Ds! You just have to choose the correct time zone after you enter the code!

The master key is different for every DS system. Call Nintendo and get to the DS helper. Then you tell them your inquiry number and they will tell you the master key. You must provide proof of ID, your inquiry number on the DS and your DS serial number.

3. Select your date.
4. Get your master key pass.

To know the master key for the Nintendo DS (presumably because you had forgotten your parental control key) call the number 1-800-255-3700 and follow the menus on the phone until you can talk to customer service about Nintendo ds.

When asking to unlock parental controls, it should ask for a pin. Since you don't know the pin it will ask for a security question. go into parental controls and it will ask for a code, put in the wrong one, then choose dont remeber for the next 2 options it gives you. you should now get a confirmation number.

In the case of parental controls, you will need to go into the wii settings to unlock them totally. Head on over to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp and enter in the confirmation number you will get once you have specified that you forgot the pin, and the answer to secret question

(Do make sure your wii is set to whatever today's date is, as the master password completely depends on it.)
