Plugged Drain Holes? Does anyone know where the drain holes are located on a 2004 cayenne? After leaving car outside in heavy rain, water accumulates in passenger side floor. In lighter rain, I hear a "swishing" sound under the car.

check the cowling at the base of the windshield outside the car by the hood. this can be plugged by debris and need to be cleaned out. if the water can`t drain out the drain holes it will have to go somewhere and that is usually inside the car. the cowling is one way outside air is passed into the car. you will have to remove the cowling to clean out and make sure the drain holes are not plugged.

Why is there water on passanger floor after a heavy rain?

Check for leafs that are blocking drain holes on both ends . Air inlet cowl in front of wind shield. This blockage would cause water to back up and enter the Hvac air inlet.

Try running a hose on the driver's door window to see if the drain hoeles in the driver's door are plugged. Also check the drain holes in the rear window and trunk lid drains.
