make sure u don't turn it on ,clean the entire system best u can and then let it dry completely.put the filter back on after a couple of days and then try to run it.it will smell so use a air freshener on the inside, just drop in a auto tree freshener and it will smell better that way.
Hi! The brushes can stop spinning if something is obstructing them such as carpet fibers, hair, dirt or debris. Remove the brushes from the cleaner by grasping the plastic outer housing and pulling firmly away from the cleaner. Remove any debris and run it under running water to clean. On the back of the brush-block assembly there's a plastic drive pin that rotates all the brushes when turned. Turn the drive pin and ensure that all brushes are making a complete 360° degree turn. If the brushes are getting stuck or if a brush falls out then the brush-block will need to be replaced. Follow the link here to order a replacement brush-block for the Steamvac Search Results. Below is a list of models this brush will fit. F5912-900, F5914-900F5915-100, F5915-900, F5915-905, F5917-900, F5918-900, FH50041, FH50042, FH50043, FH50044, FH50045, FH50046, FH50047, FH50048CA
Hope this helps!
It would be best to dump it outside because the carpet fibers, (I call them carpet dumplings...lol), may get caught on something in the drain and eventually get stopped up.

I found the fix for the dc 33. Open up the
cover to the beater bar. look at the cover. You will see many small
triangles. Look very closely for a small rubber strip that runs along
the edge where the triangles are. It is kinda hard to see. Once you find
it remove it. Now on the vacuum itself there is another strip. This
strip is very similar but a little longer. Remove that strip. No more
**** noise whalla. The perfect Dyson!
Ok This same thing happend to my wifes vacuum. If its on the straight part use a small broom handle. If its down deeper you can cut the handle in short pieces as if to make a small train. Drill a small hole in the center of the blocks or broom handle pieces. I cut mine 1 1/2 inches long so they can make the turn. Next take a stick and force the clog back words.keep tapping and shacking the hose and stick till it drives the clog back. Keep your tool hanging In a good place till you or someone else needs it. I had to make 2 of them, Because she has a small light weight vacuum with a smaller hose on it. i got a dial rod that fit just right in the hose, And made a uncloger for the small vacuum also.
found it from Tara put online in nov 2008 Thanks this is it
Had the same problem... although I don't have particularly hard water, the heater block corroded just enough to stop most of the flow after about 4 years. Disassemble the handle to get at the heater block (3 pairs of screws/bolts), remove the tubes with needle nose pliers, use a paper clip to knock out the corrosion on the front tube on the heater block, flush with a syringe to get rid of any other bits of corrosion (some extra plastic tubing connected to the back tube of the heater block helps here, and catch the water from the front tube to prevent water in the electronics...), reassemble (avoid disconnecting any wires...) and try it out. Worked for me! I REALLY have to thank the person who suggested this fix! THANKS!!!
I used regular pliers , phillips screwdriver , the pointed end of a compass and a turkey baster full of water to blast it out . You have to improvise . Take your time watch the little rubbers on the heater make sure its not hot . It was just the inlet gets pluged up in the heater . You have to take off the tools then its the bottom set of plastic not the handle . You can test by pushing the plunger at the top . You must take the handle off . Loosen the pieces it just came off for me then snaps back on . This is all it was for me , very simple . I am disabled and did it on a extra old carpet a little at a time over a few hours . For someone healthy its a hour job tops or less . Just be patient . God helps those who help themeslves and asks for patience .
unscrew the top of the unit. lift it off.
look inside. pluck out the plastic piece.
Slosh lots of bleach into the works. close it up. flush.
Fixed!
