My sister just gave me her old gas grill. Said it worked great. She lives in another state and I am now unsure what to do. I started cleaning it out and all this rusted metal came out and what looked like charcoal briquettes. I'm now thinking that this was part of the assembly and that I need to get new parts. I need to know where to buy them and how to repair this. Thanks.

SOURCE: Need to find lpg jets for 6 burner aussie roaster

BBQs Galore sell these in their DIY section (Aussie Roaster is no longer sold at BBQ Galore, but the burner component is a standard fit). If you have an Aussie Roaster remember there is a bobbypin on the underside of the burner locking the back end of the burner in place, a few smacks with a little hammer will push this out so the old burner can be pulled out and new burners can be put in place.

SOURCE: Replace ignitor on Thermos BBQ

You have to remove the front panel but It's not too hard. Remove the left and right side trays, about 4-5 screws each. Front panel will then come off readily. Detach the electrode wires from ignitor box first. Wear old clothes and gloves.

SOURCE: i need a regulator valve for a thermos grill2go

Pete, it's easier to find & replace the whole Regulator/Hose Assembly, then it is to just replace the regulator. You can pick one up at just about any hardware store or home improvement center that sells grills and accessories for about $30.00. Take you old one with you for comparison purposes.

Hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.

You probably need a new regulator. It sounds like it is sticking, so take your old one with you to a store that sells BBQ's and get a new one.

Check to see if the probe where it sparks to the burner inside the grill is clean and not shorted by grease or other gunk and the burner itself in this area is not too heavily rusted or corroded. If not, short of disassembling the whole grill and replacing the spark module, spend $2-3 and buy one of those pistol type grill lighters. The ignition systems on BBQ grills rarely seem to last long.
