From your problem description it appears that you know how to operate the phone. Before looking into further advanced setup options, you should know that the problem might be with your service package: MMS and internet service must be enabled by your cellular service provider.
Try contacting your cellular provider to enable your MMS and internet in your service package.
If that is not the problem, please reply for further information.
Hello, This is nothing to do with hotmail..it is your setting..I assume that you made it all necessary inputs thru -*setting-*mail account-*add an account- * enter hotmail info and you are done.. Than you make that account -*Active -and go to main menu to click -*Receive mail-(you must have a wi-fi connection too) your mails should be downloaded into iPhone.Hope you will succeed. If problem continues send me an email that I can send you the some screen pictures of iphone for this setting. Regards.
you just have to contact your network operator and ask them to send the settings of internet and MMS. When you received the same install them and restart the phone....
If you have already done the above procedure then First set your gadget to factory defaults and follow the above mentioned procedure...
Hope this has helped you...

Some tech info to help problem solve. POP3 is the technology involved with receiving email, SMTP is involved with sending. (Lots of people saying they could receive but not send, but their SMTP settings weren't correct)
see if you have mms nad internet support on your phone if yes on mms just go to menu go to add object then add picture then press send it should go to an email adress (worked for me) for email go to your email account on pc (works with gmail, tried it, should work with hotmail, aol no idea, yahoo, not with free account.) go to options check if imap or pop is enabled in your account over there there might be instructions on how to set up imap and pop (gmail does).
