did u check the same service provider connection on an other mobile.. if that one is ok and catching max. signal or not saying limited service then this can be caused by software issue or with hardware also..
to check that your phone is ok for any SIM not only the existing one... put the sim of another service provider to check...if it doesnt show limited service then its mean the SIM problem...
if the behaviour is the same for all then its the phone problem itself.. check it by the way... if its phone issue do a factory reset or update firmware..
