Re: Freezer Door Stuck Shut
The refrigerator with 2 doors, the freeze has a electronic magnetite automatic close system, I think your electronic relay got problem, it doesn’t automatic relieve, you can try to unplug the electrical plug see if you can open it, after you open it and plug the plug back and try to close it again, if it is works, that’s great otherwise you have to fix it .

by the look of the picture it should not have that problem
something jammed or fallen on both openings
that stop doors from opening
call a fridge repairer first
those doors cost a lot to replace
maybe the fridge guy can you undo the top hinge of the french doors
if the freezer draw handle is broken you might need his help with that anyway
is it a fairly new fridge with dual compressors, if it a single unit, you may have blocked the door that lets the cold air into the fridge side with food, or the door could be stuck shut.the door is located in the upper corner next to the freezer side of the fridge.
take defrost the freezer it sounds like ice has builded up behind the door and it sounds like u may need a new door gasket or it didn't get closed all the way. here is something u can try to see if the gasket seals take a dollar bill put in the door frame shut the door if the dollar bill comes out easy the gasket is not sealing
check the damper door vent located between the refrige and freezer for being iced up and stuck shut,if cold air from freezer can't get past thid door the refrige will warm up,if this isnt the problem, adjust the refrige temp control and watch and see if this makes this door open and close as you adjust the temp of the refrige compartment
no promblem when you shut one door it forces air to the other side remove the kick plate at the bottom adjust the rollers till the fridge leans back i set them so when you turn loose of the door slightly past the halfway position it shuts its self that way when it pops open it shuts its self
trying to open door?? does it feel as if top wants to open ad bottom of door is being stuck shut? or mabye a package of frozen food has shifted of a shelf and is holding the door shut, if so brute force will solve that one.if it feels like held at bottom sounds as if youmight have a clogged defrost drain tube.drain water backing up onto freezer plor and holding door shut. even then forcing door open is only way then removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over.
