My phone (Sidekick II) will not vibrate when I recieve texts, when option is clearly set to "vibrate".

Have you cheked sound settings ? does it ring/vibrate when you recieve calls ? you could always try entering this code in the dial screen:

This code can be used for a factory data reset. It'll remove following things:

• Google account settings stored in your phone
• System and application data and settings
• Downloaded applications

It'll NOT remove:

• Current system software and bundled applications
• SD card files e.g. photos, music files, etc.

plz check your sound setting.for that
instructions are:
1. go to your phone's "setting".
2. enter into "sound".
3. "ok" or "click" on "vibrate".
4.and if you want ringtone at received time than go to "phone ringtone" below vibrate option.

This most likely has to do with the sound profile that you currently have set. Go into the sound options, see if there is a detailed option available to increase/decrease the ring volume or vibration.

Some phones have the option to turn on an alert and vibration for text/incoming call.s

There is a ''profile'' menu in your phone. Go for it. Select the profile you want to activate. Then select ''personalise'' option. Make the settings you want in it and then after saving it, select ''activate'' .

jst go in ur profile check wether u want to enable vibrate option then disable it ,option such as ringtone ,msg tone,vibrate.....

1) Remove your sim card
2) From the jump screen: Menu -> Settings -> System Info
3) Press Menu+Shift+X Select OK to clear the flash.
4) Press Menu+Shift+R Select OK to clear the login information.
5) Perform a hard reset now. This will reboot the device.
To perform a hard reset:

SK2 - Press the power button and reset button at the same time. Unit will vibrate when reset. You can use a paper clip or similiar to hit the reset button located behind the screen.

SK3 - remove the battery while the device is on.

6) Call your carrier and ask them to detach your device IMEI from the username locked in. Once that is done, hard reset without your SIM card inserted.

Get to the emergency call screen then hold down the Menu button (the one with the 3 lines), shift button and the letter Q at the same time for about five seconds and let it go. It will probably not happen the first time but do the same steps as mentioned again. Once you let it go the phone will ask if you are sure you want to completely reset the phone scroll to yes and hit ok. If you do not want to lose any stored data then this is not the method for you all data, contacts, etc. will be deleted. This worked for the Tmobile sidekick II Hiptop.
