Pull the lamp out and have a look at it. I have a tutorial published on projection lamps in my Tips & Tricks. Have a look at it, there's a lot a information in it and towards the end of the tutorial you will find some explanation of failures and what to look for. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

You set a Multimeter to read impedance (ohms) then put the two sensors of the Multimeter on the lamp contacts, if it reads infinite impedance, then lamp has blown.

JVC AV-56WP74 Please help wavy 3d

If you do not have hand soldering skills or know how to use a multimeter, I would suggest to replace the whole assembly.
If you know how to solder you can just replace 2 ICs that are mounted on the big black heatsinks and possibly 1 or more resistors.
Click here to find the entire assembly for your TV.
Good Luck.

How do I get HD broadcasts on a Phillips 60PP9352 TV that's 'HD ready'?

Hi.

Im guessing your in the UK.
Asking about HD as you havent stated what country you are in.

Ok You will need the following to be able to watch HD pictures on your tv set.
Either Sky HD which involves having a dish fitted. Or Virgin cable system which is not available all over the country.
If you go to either of these systems you will need to pay a subscription to view the HD channels.

Still looking for help on Pioneer SD-582HD5 TV Monitor

hi you guys well this is a comon problem with pioneer most boards have lots of cold solder connections this will also make the symptoms like blown h-out mark all the connections on the powersupply board connections meaning all the wires you seethat connect to the board then remove the board from the tv this will make the repair more easy for you then look very close eventhough you might think that there is no broken connection there might be so go over this very carefully and slow make sure that you dont create any solder bridges after you have done his then you must go to the regulator cuircuit you might have some connections there ok now we are going to find the horizontal output transistor this guy is located neer the flyback transformer this (fly) sort for flybacktransformer is a big black looking transformer with a red wire comming out of it DANGER you are in the high freqency part of your tv pic tubs may store electricity this will make you think twice befor messing with tvs again ok this transistor is mounted to a large heat sink sometimes by it self check with vom meter in diode mode from collector to emitter then emitter to base if from collector to base reads short then it is bad if from collector to emitter it is bad the only short should be from emitter to base replce fuses and try again hope this helps
