Unlock an iPod Nano Code
With the latest iPod Nano model, you can set a four-digit code and lock all intruders from accessing your iPod.
In order to use the device's functions again, you need to enter the correct code.
However, if you happen to lose or forget the code, you will need to find another way to unlock your iPod Nano.

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod Nano.
Plug the other end of the USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC computer.
Open the iTunes program by using the Dock on a Mac or the Start menu on a PC.
Select your iPod Nano from the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window.
Click on the "Sync" button to make a connection between your computer and your iPod Nano.
Click on the "Eject" symbol once the syncing process is complete.
Remove your iPod Nano from the USB cable.
The iPod's lock code will now be reset and you will be able to access all features again.
Navigate to the "Screen Lock" option in the iPod menu to lock your iPod's screen again.
Since your iPod's lock code was just reset, you will be prompted to select a new four-digit code.

How do i get the radio to work

Hello,

Besides playing your favorite songs and custom playlists, you can also listen to your favorite DJs and talk shows on your iPod Nano by using it as a radio.

The iPod Radio Remote is a small and convenient accessory that lets you tune in to live radio when you're on the go, and also allows you to remotely control your iPod. Here is how you can easily setup Radio Remote on your iPod Nano and start using it as a radio.

  1. Connect the ipod Radio Remote to your iPod Nano by plugging it into the dock connector. Plug your headphones into the port at the top of the Radio Remote, next to the hold switch.
  2. Once the Radio Remote is connected, select "Music" and then "Radio" on your iPod. The Radio Remote will automatically tune in to the first available station it finds. The iPod screen will show the radio station and any other available information or data.
  3. Press the center button on the iPod. Use your iPod click wheel to find other stations. Once you have found your favorite station, hold the "Center" button down until a triangle appears on the radio dialer on your iPod screen.
  4. Once you have set up all of your favorite radio stations, use the "Next/Fast-Forward" or "Previous/Rewind" buttons to navigate between them.
Good luck.

I have a jvc kd-g720 stereo in my car and when I plug my iPod into the usb port it says "do not disconnect" and even though i have about 2,000 songs on my iPod the stereo will only play the same 49 ones in...

if you are plugging your ipod into the usb port of the kd-g720 it won't play all your songs because this particular radio only plays mp3s through the usb port. ipods play both mp3s and mp4s. so those 49 songs you're hearing are the mp3s on your ipod. in order to play all the songs on your ipod you must buy the cord that plugs in the back of the radio that will connect to your ipod. sorry for the bad news man. i had the same thing happen to me.

Ipod wont show up on itunes

When you have a high speed device like the ipod plugged into a non high speed usb hub, all that means is that it will take the ipod about twenty times longer to load up under itunes then it will using a high speed port. Try connecting the ipod to a different usb port and see if that one is a high speed port (if it is, it will most likely have 2.0 written beside it, and if it does not have it, when you plug it in, it will tell you if it is a non high speed usb port. The same message should pop up. Try all of the usb ports on your computer. You should have at least 1 high speed port.

Ipod wont show up on itunes

Let the iPod fully charge - sometimes you will get this message if the iPod is running on low power. Try another USB port if it gives you the same message.

If it still doesn't work, try the 5 R's suggested by Apple in the manual - you can get a manual from Apple's website if you have lost yours.

Usb kdc-x890 IPOD

The 890 doesn't support iPod control via USB. You can only read plain data storage devices on the USB port, such as a flash drive or portable hard drive. When you plug the iPod in (to a PC or the 890), it doesn't show up as a plain file storage device. Some of the newer Kenwoods do offer direct iPod control via USB. These ones have more "smarts" and are able to properly talk to the iPod and access its music. For the older models, you'll need to buy the special iPod interface, which accesses the iPod like a CD changer.

Switching on problem with I pod

Restart your ipod (hold the middle button, menu button, and play button for about 10 seconds). That will restart your ipod, and should make it work.

If that doesn't work, follow the instructions on iTunes to restore your ipod to the original factory settings.
