A aroma is very easy to open up so if you can find a erpair station near you i would suggest you to fix it your self.

open it up and reset the fuses there is one on the top of the boiler when you open it up.

Then you need to prime it.
Turn it on ( as this should work now)
open up the steam valve and then press for making of a cup of coffe. this hould prime the machine though the steam nossle.

I have a saeco aroma coffee machine that will not turn on.. This machine has only two thermostats and no reset button visible. Could there be one inside the boiler or should I keep looking?

The Saeco Brand is under the Philips umbrella of companies. The Aroma line is not considered user serviceable beyond descaling and cleaning. However, most devices that heat water tend to have a fusible link somewhere in the power circuit. If you're already poking around inside, trace the power connection (obviously with the machine unplugged) through to the heating elements, sensors, etc. You might find a small "bit" that looks scorched or burnt.
Otherwise, it might be good to contact Saeco and see if there's an authorized repair center near you. The Aroma is definitely pricey enough not to just dump and replace like an old Mr. Coffee.

Hi, my Saeco Aroma 1st generation won't turn on anymore. I opened it up but can't find the fuse nor thermostat to verify, there is no sign of burn or open wire. Would you help me to locate them...

Exploded diagram at the link below. Parts are in Italian but these can easily be translated on the web. ( translate.google.co.uk )

Their should be an internal fuse located close to where the mains flex enters the unit.

If their doesn't appear to be one then the first item to check would be the main switch (Item 26 on Page 1).

You'll need either a multimeter to check that with the mains on, and the switch in the on position you're getting a supply to the secondary side of the switch (be very careful if you do this as working with live exposed equipment can be dangerous). Your other option is to use a continuity checker and with the mains off and unplugged, place the continuity checker across the switch and move the switch to the on position. If the switch is OK then the continuity checker should either buzz or flash depending on what tyre you're using.

If this fails or you require any further guidance then just ask.

My 3-year old Saeco Aroma blew the mains circuit when I switched it on this morning. I tried it on other circuits but it did the same. Is it worth the shipping and repair costs? Thanks, Aodan

Check the other postings on the topic of "blowing a breaker". Appears to be a heating element or boiler short. They don't recommend you fix yourself.
Mine is 13 - 14 months old and did the same thing two weeks ago. The words, "boat anchor", come to mind. Saeco won't honor it, and the online retailer wants $100.00 to receive it and supply parts - labor and all shipping is on me. I paid $235 for the unit, so you do the math as to whether its worth it. I'd say no.

Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine.....doesn't draw water.

Hi,

You have to take a bellow pump or similary and fill with water, after that you have to open the steam knob and put force in the water from the bellow pump into the water inlet on the machine.

Hope this will help you, let me know if it works.

I, too, assumed the problem was the needle valve, but thanks to 83bj60 for suggesting how easy it is to fix. I posted some photos of the process.

Saeco Aroma Espresso pump not drawing water

Hi Espressoless,

You have to force in water to the machine, to this you need a bellow pump or similar and force it into the water tank inlet when you do a priming.
