Erase instructions for FinePix A700 Digital Camera

is it a full restore? or a factory restore if so, live the card in the camera and do it then.

Use USB cord to transfer or use memory card reader to download

1) Press MENU/OK to open the playback menu.

2) Press the left or right arrow buttton to select Erase.

3) Press the UP or DOWN key to select FRAME or ALL FRAMES.

4) Press MENU/OK to confirm selection

The pictures were stored on the camera and not the memory card.
Issue resolved.

Yes, you need to format the card. It should be an option on one of the camera menu listings. Sometimes it can be buried. Go to Major Geeks.com and look through their free program for one to recover deleted pictures. I recovered some of mine.

Have you installed the finepix software that should have come with the camera? I believe it is also available online at their website.
