I will give the solution for free ! I always do . I don't ask for payment and it is rarely given either by posters or FY . I do this for free . Now , for your problem :
At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door or using a can of computer cleaner ( with nozzle ) has worked . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig .
If the line is frozen in the door , GE has a heater , pt.# WR49X10173 , to keep this from happening again . Also , turning on the dispensor light for several hours , has been known to thaw the frozen area

ELECTROLUX American Fridge Freezer making a ticking noise

Jennair jsp42ppdbda faulty evaporator drip pan - leaking down into freezer compartment


I've got the same problem. After installing a replacement drip pan (W1019913) and disconnecting the thermistor per the enclosed instructions, the problem returned within two months. I just called Jenn-Air customer service and was told that there is a new design for the drip pan this is only available through Jenn-Air, and not through distributors. Therefore the part I purchased in November through a distributor was the old design (even though it was dated 1/27/11).
The Jenn-Air rep agreed to have a tech install the new design under warranty, even though I purchased the unit almost 5 years ago. I'm hopeful that this will correct the problem.
If you still want instructions on how to remove the drip pan, let me know. But I would return the part you've got and ask Jenn-Air do it for free.

I have some information on your model and that would involve forced defrost by the service manual page 28 at bottom. How old is your Samsung? Forced Operation Function (Pull-down / Refrigerator Defrost / Refrigerator . Freezer-Defrost / Cancellation)
● This function enables a pull-down mode, a defrost mode for the refrigerator only, a defrost mode for the freezer and the
refrigerator at the same time, and a cancellation of this function.
● Press Power Freeze and Fridge Temp. buttons for 8 seconds simultaneously to get in the ready mode for a forced
operation.
● The display panel will return to normal after 20 seconds in the ready mode.
● At the ready mode, press any button(except Ice Type and Child Lock) once to start a pull-down operation, twice for a
defrost cycle for the refrigerator, three times for a defrost cycle for the freezer and the refrigerator, and finally four times
for cancellation of this function.
● Another way to cancel this function is to simply plug out and in the power cord.
1) Pull-down
1-1) At the ready mode, press any button once then the buzzer will beep (ON for 1/2 second and OFF for 1/2 second)
until this mode is cancelled.
1-2) At this pull-down mode, the compressor will start immediately (No 5 minute delay) and if the system is in the
defrost cycle, it will be cancelled right away.
note) If this pull-down mode begins right after the compressor was off, the compressor may not start to run due to an
overload condition.
1-3) At this mode, the compressor and freezer fan will operate continuously for 24 hours and the refrigerator fan will be
on and off according to the set temperature(34℉)
1-4) After 24 hour operation, the system will be cycled at -14℉ for the freezer and 34℉ for the refrigerator.
1-5) In order to cancel this mode at any time, select the next mode on the ready mode or power off the system.
2) Refrigerator Defrost / Refrigerator . Freezer-Defrost operation
2-1) At the pull-down mode, press any button again on the ready mode to begin the defrost cycle for the refrigerator.
2-2) The beep sound continues for 3 second at the beginning, then ON for 3/4 seconds and OFF for 1/4 second until
this mode cease.
2-3) After this operation, the system will come back to normal operation.
2-4) At this mode, press any button again on the ready mode to operate the defrost cycles for both compartments.
2-5) The beep sound continues for 3 seconds at that time, then ON for 1/4 second and OFF for 3/4 seconds until the
defrost operation cease.
3) Cancellation
3-1) At the R,F-Defrost mode, press ant button again on the ready mode to return to a normal operation.
3-2) Simply unplug the power cord, then plug it again to return to a normal operation.

Water taste like plastic, spent a lot of money buying a name brand, will never again buy a kitchen aid product. sham sham and it's american made.


replace the water filter with a good brand name one,when new they pick up the odor of plastic from manufacture,run some water thru it and again replace it, this should remove bad taste

If your unit is a bottom freezer and it is not freezing i.e warm, you more than likely have a sealed system issue. Check your warranty disclosure in your users manual. You may have Five years parts only on the sealed system.
Her is a tip: If you have American Express- Charge it . AMEX will mirror the manufacturers warranty.

If you can find the duct work behind the draws you might find an air control, if you have a contract with Sears - you can call them back, the part that was replaced has a Garn.T and or 30 days on service, when you ajust the temps it may sometime act up but has a default and will return to that. Cold air drops down. read the manual that came with the Refrig. Buying a service contract might be the best thing for piece of mind - Sears covers everything, even plactic and paint ( scratches). most everything is plastic in the refrigerators today and are very expensive, 3 doors allow more air into the unit then a 2 door because of the seal between the doors, just 2 pieces of rubber overlapping .
Act on this as fast as you can, 30 days on service goes fast and a service call runs about 75 dollars . Oh ! don't put wet veggies in draw and rap everything with Plastic wrap, veggies only least about 4 /5 days then become soft and lose taste and color.

lg is fairly new to our country. 4-5 years for appliances, however i think they are made very well, we do see problems with them but we also see problems with the american name brands as well . we do reccomened purchasing
a service contract on any appliance you buy today.
we are a authorized servicer for lg an many more name brands and repair are up on all new appliances in the industry. nothing is made as good as it was so shop around do your homework and check consumer reports ,computer sights etc. before you buy. hopefully you wont have to see me knocking on your door for service. if we could be of any assistance feel free to contact us.

Samsung american style fridge freezer


This would most likely be a problem in that board. If this is the only problem you are having I wouldn't spend the money on a new board just to get the light to turn green. It won't affect anything. Just replace the filter every 6-8 months like normal.
