Well., it depends whether you have a free account or a paid one.The server access to yahoo for the free account holder using the outlook application has been restricted by yahoo. You can not configure the free account of yahoo in outlook.
However, if you have the paid account you can configure the outlook.
Visit the below links to configure the paid account:

How can I connect my Yahoo email account with Windows Outlook 2003?

This depends on whether or not you pay for your Yahoo email account. Yahoo has restricted the POP3 downloading of emails from free accounts. If you pay for your email account, you can download mail by going into the email options on the website, and enabling POP3 email access, and then they provide you with the instructions to download your mail with Outlook 2003. Otherwise, you have to use the website to get your mail.

My outlook downloads all the mails from the inbox

Yahoo uses POP3 as the e-mail protocol, which gives you ther option of retrieving messages but not deleting them. It sounds as though the "Leave a copy of messages on the server" option in the Advanced settings for the account is checked so that messages are left on the Yahoo e-mail server. To check on that and change it:
  1. In Outlook 2003, select Tools->E-Mail Accounts;
  2. When the E-Mail Accounts wizard pops up, under the E-Mail areaq, make sure that "View or Change existing e-mail accounts" is selected, then press Next;
  3. Select your Yahoo account in the dialog that pops up and click on "Change";
  4. The Internet E-Mail Settings dialog for the Yahoo account pops up. Click on "More Settings", then in the dialog that pops up, click on the Advanced tab;
  5. At the botton of that tab, there is an area marked as "Delivery". Make sure that "Leave a copy of messages on the server" is unchecked, then click OK;
  6. Click the Next button on the dialong, then click "Finish".
At this point, if you check e-mail using Outlook, the messages should be deleted from the server. If not, then we can go from there.

I have problems to set up my account with Microsoft Office Outlook

If you are using Microsoft office outlook 2007, open your outlook, a wizard will appear, under email accounts click yes,click next, then under auto account setup, click check box on manually configure server settings then next, choose a.) internet email, (if you have your incoming and outgoing mail server), then next, then supply all information needed, account type pop3, name, email address, account name (must be the complete email address) incoming and outgoing then password, then next then hit finish or choose b.) Microsoft exchange (if you have an exchange server and you are on a network or a company) then next, fill out the information needed, your exchange server and your email address then click finish.
If you are using Microsoft office 2003, the process is just the same..
but, if you already have an existing email on your outlook and you want to modify it, go to tools, then email accounts (2003) or tools, option, mail setup, then email accounts, (2007), on the new window, double click the existing mail then supply again all the informations needed: name, email address, account name (must be the complete email address) incoming and outgoing then password. test if successful by sending an email to your own email address

How to Synchronise yahoo mail in MS Outlook 2003

The problem is that in order to use Yahoo email on a Outlook, POP3 or HTTP, Yahoo asks you to get Yahoo Mail Plus. They are forcing you to pay for 19.99 a year to be allowed a POP3 account to use for your Outlook 2003 and mail forwarding.

I've tried several methods, even trying HTTP: mail.yahoo.com

Ive even used software that said it would allow this. But no luck.

POP3 is only provided and activated by YAHOO when you pay for the yearly subcription.

Sorry. Thats really the only solution there is to this because yahoo controls their services to every user.

I hope this helps.
