Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a family member who bought an MP3 player, which came with a small disk (approx. 2 in.) that is used to assist in the download/ transfer of music. She inputted this disk into her computer, but its not working, it keeps spitting it out. I've been told that she will need to buy a converter that will allow her to use such a small disk. Is this true? If so, what is it that she needs to buy.
It sounds like what you are describing is an SD (Secure Digital) card. SD cards are a media storage device used by many consumer electronics devices (MP3 players, GPS receivers, digital cameras and cell phones most notably).
In order to read an SD card on a computer you need a card reader device. SD card readers typically plug into the USB port on the computer. You then insert the SD card itself into the reader, allowing you to view the files on the card.
You can purchase s SD card reader at most major electronics stores such as Best Buy™ or on BestBuy.com.
