Zanussi Dryer TC7114S drive belt snapped and trying to fit new one. Would appreciate a basic instruction lesson on "How To". Thank you for any help given. Chris

Reset switch on side of motor start switch?

If there is no removeable rear panel then it can be done from the top, it is not easy, but I have done it in the past.
If you tilt the washer towards you, it gives more room to get your hands and arms in to fit the belt.
Otherwise it means removing the rear half of the cabinet.

check the drive it should have grooves on it. that means that the belt grooves should go around the drive and facing the drum. When you see the belt on the drum you should not see the grooves on the belt

belt snapped ??? take lid off see if belt ok .if yes you may need a new stricker pin that operates the safty devise.....01179512835

This is similar to your model. Buy the belt online or a appliance parts store.

It is most likely that the drive belt is broken and needs repalcing, If you remove the rear panel it will be obvious if it has broken *** there will be a lrge flywheel attached to the drum and no drive belt going to the motor, near the bottom of the machine. These are easy to obtain from any domestic appliance spares store or mail order. They are also very easy to fit.If the drive belt is in place and is reasonably tight (taught) then you may have an issue with the motor. clutch or brake.

You will need to take the drum out of the rear bearing by undoing one of the sides and the back panel. Use selotape to hold the new belt in place and use a longish 'philips' screwdriver so that it does not cut the belt if it slips and ease the belt over the pulley with grooves that is near the fan. It is tricky!

loop the belt around the drum.
slide the belt down the drum directly over the motor pulley
loop the belt around the motor pulley
pull the tensioner pulley hard to the end of its travel against its spring
wrap the belt around the tensioner pulley
release the tensioner so the spring pulls it against the belt
rotate the drum by hand to ensure the belt is aligned and does not pull offf the pulleys
reassemble case
dry clothes
its easier than it looks seeing a broken belt in the bottom of the case.
