A phone was charging of the usb cord of the ps3 a text message came to the phone and the game went blank?

try charging it with usb on ps3 if continues try different cord still continues try another usb charging plug, let me know

IF YOU HAVE AN IPHONE AND ITUNE -- the easiest way that i can think of is for you to use a usb drive on your ps3 and save all the pictures you want on to it.
Connect the usb drive to your computer and bring the photos into your itunes
sync your iphone with the new pictures in your itunes and you should be done.
if you have one of the other smart phones on the market see if you can use yahoo messenger or some other texting app that supports sending pictures. Once you get the text messeging app on your phone get the photos into your pc like i describe above. now use yahoo messenger to send you a pic message to your phone. Some smart phones allow you to save the pictures onto your phones if thats not an option you could try taking pictures of each one of your photos thats on the ps3 with your phone

yea i have noticed my ps3 isn't charging stuff either it only does charge when its turned on im pretty sure theres a setting to charge while the ps3 is off To sync:

maybe its the USB PORTS from your ps3 system that are not working try using a flash drive or any kind of USB drive into the ps3 USB port and see if the playstaion recognizes itif it doesn't I'd say its the USB ports that do'nt work

The only way to get your pictures off the phone is to send each one as a picture message to an email address.
