Mitsubishi WD-52825 Noise issue

I have a 3-year old WD-52825. I've searched the forum but did not see any post with a similar issue. I have a noise that manifests itself in two different ways. On HD channels there are digital artifacts that are about 1-inch across throughout the entire display. On analog channels, there vertical lines throughout the image (similar to an RF noise artifact).

I first thought it was a power issue, or another device (cable box or XBOX) causing the issue. I even suspected a lamp. I've eliminated all of these as possible causes. If I play a DVD on the XBOX, the image is really noisy.

Ideas?

    Big Irish,

Thanks for the response. I forgot to mention that after about an hour the picture starts to flicker. I attribute this to a heat issue. A board or component is breaking down once heating up.

I tend to believe the caps on the formatter board may be the issue.

Mitsubishi WD-52825 Started having video noise and now the Green LED blinks but TV will not power on. Repairman from Sound Advice came out and told me he would have to replace the chassis.

If the flashing green light will not stop. Try plugging it straight into the wall. If the TV does not read it is getting enough power then the green timer light will prevent you from turning it on. As this TV ages for some reason the power supply will give you problems. If you are able to get it back on. Be aware there are a lot more problems to come.

I had the noise issue and the flashing green light issue. Now The picture is not there. It looks like a bunch of flashing stars. If I pull up the device menu I can see in flashing in and out and rolling up the screen. Should I take it out back and beat it with a hammer then hit it with my car or is it worth fixing? This is my 3rd Mits, I can't get one to last more than 3 years. Mitsoshitti.

Good Day, mooredriven;

If the picture looks like checker board pattern the TV may have a problem with part:
D8F00 PART # 264P828010-diode-DAN202U/MA142W
D8FO1 " " " " "
C8F26 " 141P148000 CER (B25K-1M-K)
C8F29 " " " "
OR the formatter board #930B924001, on that board there are 5 caps 1000 ufd 35v that commonly go bad.

Good Luck, big irish.

Its in the very front of the metal encased chassis block underneath the sloped top shield. The Power cord plugs directly into the power board.

Mitsubishi wd-73736 bulbs buzzing noise

The Ballast that ignites the Lamp could cause the Lamp to fail and/or cause a buzzing noise. That being said, the Color Wheel in the Optical Block assembly could also cause a similar symptom. If Mitsubishi would be willing to help with the Lamp cost, I would call a local Mitsubishi repair facility to install it and see if the noise is still there and find out exactly what is causing it. Mitsubishi Customer Service Phone number is 1800-332-2119.
I hope this helps,

Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.
