Problem with Epson DFX-9000 Dot Matrix Printer
I have an Epson DFX 9000 printer. Error 03 When I power on I get 5 beeps and Tear Off, Top of Form, Paper Out, Pause and Tractor Select Lights all Flash. Any ideas

Hope you already know that Error 3 is a carriage return
horizontal position error and flashes when the printer turns on & the SP
Motor Brake signal is not switched on within 3 seconds of it turning on. To
solve this issue you should check the SP motor connection, if that is fine then
the unit should be serviced. Hope this helps...please post back for further
assistance.

Daniel Scott Sorry for the late response, if you have checked the motor control and the connections look good then check to make sure all the wires are fine not burned or broken. If the issue returns then the motor control can be replaced.

flipper_ibp I thought you are an expert. Telling someone to turn machine off and back on. Do yo think that we haven't tried this? Either you are THE EXPERT or don't know sht from gravy. Do you know what is actually wrong

flipper_ibp I checked all connectors on the motor control board all solder joints look good. Any further ideas to troubleshoot this
