Question about Samsung Phones

1 Answer

My phone seems to have a software problem to where the buttons aren't reading right. The "Menu" key goes to the calendar and the "7" key types in a "1" among other problems with pressing keys. I can't seem to get to the master reset through the software itself, is there any other way I can reset the phone?

Need to make sure DTMF tone is on - model 27903FE1-A I obtained some instructions and got to dial mode but could not get beyond as "Tone" was unavailable

Here is a direct link to the User's Manual for your GE model 27903 phone:

http://www.home-electronics.net/USER-GUIDES/27903_DOM_EN_CL_IB.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

The TONE dialing option is normally the default setting for any modern phone unless you have previously changed it to the PULSE mode yourself.

However, here is an except from the manual on how to switch between the two modes if necessary:

1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).

2. Press the Menu button to go to the main menu.

3. Press cid/vol (- or +) button to scroll to Setup BS.

4. Press Menu button to confirm and you may program the following items: LAC (local area code) and Dial mode.

From the Setup BS Menu:

1. Press the cid/vol (- or +) button to scroll to the Dial mode sub-menu.

2. Press Menu button to enter the menu and use the cid/vol (- or +) button to select Tone or Pulse.

3. Press Menu button to save your selection.

How do I set my speed dial numbers?

Which ones? System speed is programmed from station 10 or 11 and goes in the 6xx's, depending on your version of software. The start is FEATURE 00 FEAT 6xx and dial the number You can continue programming more numbers by pressing FEAT 6xx or Feat 00 to exit.

Personal speed dial numbers are programmed similarly, except they are in locations 80-99 on each phone and can be programmed from the phone if it's a system phone.

Auto Dial buttons use blank buttons on your set. Feature 00 pressing the button and dialing the outside number store those. Again, Feature another button will let you program another button, or Feature 00 ends programming.

Access voicemail from another line while away from home

The previous solution only works for older machines. I have the same Panasonic model and this works every time.
On your handset, hit the top center button(menu). Touch the arrow down button 7 times. Should say "Initial settings". Hit top right button on handset (display shows this is now the "select" key). Display now shows "Set Answering". Hit top right button again ( select key). Display now reads "Ring Count". Hit arrow down button 2 times. Display now reads "Remote Code". Hit select key again and enter your desired 2 digit remote code. Hit "Off" key. When you call the answering machine from the road, simply enter those same digits. Piece of cake. Enjoy.

Round button in middle quits working.

Sounds like you may not be selecting the right menu buttom. The soft keys are right below the screen. these three buttons function change depending on which screen you are viewing. I have copied the instructions from the manual below. You must select phonebook to view the phone book using the round button. You must select volume to change the volume with the round button.

The Standby Screen
When the phone is in standby, the handset display shows the following items:
Handset
Ringer off icon (when the ringer is off)/ day of the week and time / battery iconHandset ID and BannerNumber of new Caller ID calls received (If there are no new Caller ID messages, the Handset ID appears here.) SUN 12:00A Handset #1 New CID: 5REDIALMENU
Using the Four-way Function Key
Your handset has a four-way function key that allows you to move the cursor (or highlighted area) on the display and access the most commonly used features at the touch of a button. By moving this key to the left, you open the Phonebook. Move the key to the right to access Caller ID information. To use this four-way key, place your thumb over the key on the station and move to the four positions to get the feel of how it moves and operates.
Using the Handset Menu
To open the menu, press the MENU soft key. Highlight the option you want by pressing the four-way function key. This will move the cursor; the option currently highlighted appears in reversed out text. Select the highlighted option by pressing the OK soft key. To exit the menu and return to standby, press [].
If you do not press a key within 30 seconds, the phone will time out and exit the menu. When setting Date and Time, the time-out period is extended to two minutes.
Note: For GLOBAL SETUP and DEREGISTRATION menu options, make sure the line is not in use and the handsets are within range of the base. 123abcdefView the phonebook Four-way Function KeyUpView the Caller IDDown123abcdefView •
