Lost my documents in Windows XP

Hi John
Do a "Restore"
It will restore your computer to an earlier time when you had "My Documents"
It is easy to do, but keep in mind that you will lose that Windows 98 program you installed.

1.Turn on computer
2. Left click "Start"
3. Left click on "All Programs"
4. Left click on "Accessiories"
5. Left click on "System Tools"
6. Left click on "Restore"
Then follow the instructions on the screen and your computer will be taken back to a date of your choosing when it was working good.

Hi there look i have a restore disc xp home editionblem with it has a crack on it so i cant install using it anymore is there a way that i can download an iso file to restore my system

Hi. Yes you can download an px sp3 iso directly from microsoft's website.

I will give you the link here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=2fcde6ce-b5fb-4488-8c50-fe22559d164e&displaylang=en

This will update your system to service pack 3, but you will retain all your files, programs, and applications that you already have.

This is the safest download for xp, as it is coming directly from Microsoft itself.

Can not connect

It is possible that your windows update messed up the Linksys drivers. If your pc is xp, download the latest drivers from www.linksys.com/download. uninstall the wpc54g on the add/remove programs.

if using XP, reinstall drivers only, no need to install the linksys software. This would be best if you install the drivers manually. After this you will be using only the WINDOWS UTILITY for your wireless connection.
