I have some ringtones that have been messaged to me and some that I have downloaded (not thru get it now) and when I save the sound from the txt/pix it saves it in the sounds folder. I can't assign it as a ringtone. Any suggestions on how to make them accessible.

Don't save it as a sound. there should be an option under "save as" to save as a ringtone

LG android notifications sound is not loud and can't get a ringtone for my messages

You can go to a web sight such as Zedge.com and legally download free ringtones. You can save them to your computer then plug your droid in USB and copy the files to the sounds folder on your phone and VOILA you have new ringtones. Now just go to the sound settings in your phone and you should see set ringtone, set message tone Ect... Select the one you want and you are all set. Zedge.com has many ringtones and such that are really loud, you may need to search for one you like but Im sure you will find one.

I have a motorola krzr k1 thru verizon. how do

Typically with the Motorla Krzr K1 you can't do that, usually only T Mobile software has it. I have verizon too and I can't do special sounds with it. Try going to settings<sound settings < alert sounds< text message < tone and then choose the sound you want to play!

I have a motorola VE240 phone. I have downloaded ringtones in my sounds files. How do I take those files and use them as ringtones.

To take sound files you have downloaded you have to move them to the phone memory instead of the memory stick. Also you have to send the sound to a MMS msg to yourself and then save it. It is very stupid and annoying that the manufacturer Motorola did it this way, they really shouldnt be taking the ringtone companies best interests over the end users.

Set ringtones for text messages

You all can try this

I simply opened my computer on my pc's desktop, then opened mobile device, then opened mobile device again, and then just copied and pasted the ringtones we had made on our pc for our old motorolla phones into the ringtones folder on the phone, and they are mixed, some mp3 some wav and even some aac, and they all work, then she just went into contacts, and picked the ringtone she wanted for each person. Hope this helps!

Downloading a ringtone

try to transfer a sound thru your bluetooth then if that works then something is wrong with the phones' firmware....so you would have to get the phone's firmware reflash.

Downloaded ring tones

Get the person you want the ringtones from. Like a family member freinds. Tell them to send you a sound text message and then when you get it you should probablly be able to save as ringer.
