Question about Televison & Video
I have an Insignia NS-LCD32 tv. I purchased it in December 2007. It has worked great until this week, when it began to form a vertical line on the screen. When the line initially forms the cable picture wavers in and out (only in the vertical line- the rest of the picture is fine,) then changes to a solid color, then later a rainbow stripe. The line goes away after intermittent periods of time. It is also present when I switch to the DVD input.
Any ideas? I can't seem to find my receipt and I'm freaking out that my brand new tv seems to be dysfunctional.

In some cases, there are minor defects in some parts of the screen. Points that do not light, points with
brightness different from that of the periphery, or points with color different from that of the periphery.
Some pixels will always be on or always off. Please note that this is not a malfunction. So what this says is that it's not the Plasma Cell problem, its more like a bad board inside. You will need more info like schematic and find out which area the bad part is in.

I had this problem as well. Actually best buy just left my hosue to fix it. This is the second time they were here to fix it. The first time they said a part was loose. This time they had to replace a part.

There is two reasons to have no display on your screen.
1.LCD panel itself is deffective.
2.Main board(mother board is Deffective)
How to recoganize the problem?
There is 5VDC going from main board to LCD invertor ( different model different pin so I am not able to tell which pin or Jack is)
Check while unit is ON mode it should read in between 3VDC to 5 VDC.If this volt is correct your LCD panel is Deffective. If no voltage appear in this pin Simply change Main board(mother board)
Dont forget to rate!!
