Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
My son inserted a friends PSP game and received a message about needing to update his firm ware. The update was started but then son interrupted update. Now PSP won't even turn on. How can I get the firm ware updated correctly?
My investigations suggest that your son has "bricked" the PSP. Basically the memory that stores the firmware is corrupt and apparently only a main board replacement will fix the issue.
A google search found THIS. I have no affiliation with them and have never used them though.. might be worth a call at least??

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
