I have a kenmore 110.8841980 washer and when I am not home it fills up and floods the floor.

if you have to shut off the water supply valve of the residence (water keeps flowing after turning off the washing machine or unplugging the washer), the failed component is definitely a stuck open water inlet valve (fill valve) of the appliance. Clean the filter in the pump behind the bottom panel,but remember it's full of water,If it's on a pedestal you can take the pump loose from the mounting pull it out a little and put a small pail or bucket under it before you open the trap.if it isn't on a pedestal it's a bit more challenging unless your in a basement with a floor drain. Open it very slowly and let the water drain a little at a time don't take it all the way out or you'll be in for a flood....good luck

check the level switch by blowing on it if clicks is good if not replace the switch , make sure that the hose that connects to the switch is free of debri

Morning. There is a Water fill level switch in your unit that monitors the level of the fill process. this switch is malfunctioning and, it will need to be replaced asap if possible.

Washer is approximately 3 years old. Will not drain or spin. When it tries to spin, clicking noise heard inside of unit. Would a clog insie the lines disable the spin cycle ?
