In order to hear the sound, on our 32" (LC32AV22U) TV, we have to turn all the way up. Is there a way to increase the sound? We are not hard of hearing.

Hear a whirling sound within a few seconds of tv image coming up - continues while watching and winds down when the set is turned off (fan?)

It could be the color wheel in the TV that you are hearing. There is a color wheel that spins in order for you TV to display colors and if it is struggling to stay at the right speed, it could cause the sound that you are hearing.

The fans also make some sound as when they spin and will remain on for a few minutes after the TV is turned off in order to cool the TV.

My tv is flashing like a strobe light, a blue like color and I can hear the sound coming from the speakers. Not sure what the problem is...need new lamp?

More than likley YEP! Contact an audio/video store that carries your brand of television to see if they can order a lamp for you. They are not cheap. Get a couple of quotes on price and availability if you can before you drop your $.

My W3201C 32" LCD TV made a loud popping noise when I turned it off. Now it will not turn on. No power. No LED light.

That would be your transformer popping and dieing. Usually the popping is followed by a burning smell which is a good indicator that the part is unrecoverable. The cost of the part is variable based on the make and model TV and is usually not too labor intensive to replace. If not under warranty, let the repair gut know that you know what the problem is. Then, ask them to quote the cost of the replacement part and part number. Then ask them to quote you their hourly rate and get a time estimate. Then, google the part number and see if the cost is reasonable.

Hi! name's wesley. anyways, here's the problem. i just bought a new samsung 32' lcd tv and everything is great except for one thing: when i connect my ps2 to the "av 2" input, the sound comes out...

There is a problem with the AV2 input. Since this is a new set, return it for repair or exchange. DO NOT open it up as that would void the warranty.

Have a 32 " Viewsonic

If you go to Viewsonics web site they say the following about your Model TV in the specs:

INPUT SIGNALS TV/Video Comp. 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i

So it will indeed do 1080i
