Question about Aloha Housewares (93645) Ceiling Fan

Open Question

Aloha breeze fan capacitor prints/ layout/ schematics/ diagrams etc.

I bought an aloha breeze ceiling fan (make that two ceiling fans) from "wankmart". both of them has it dual pull switches for light and fan. the lights are fine but i notice that the fan capacitor tends to burn out within a year of purchase. well anyways i call the 1-800-295-4448 (aloha breeze office) to send the capacitors that need but they did not send printout diagrams for me to change; even thought i specially ask to leave copies of each model prints. so i did what ahyone would do, call back the company; and when i did they were very rude about me asking for the prints (it made me feel like i should have call a professional electrican to do the job) plus they need to work on their customer services/ public relations skills. i apologize for writing so much but i just have to vent some frustrasting with this company, plu s it hott in S. florida. so what i need is capacitor layouts/ prints/ schematics/ diagrams etc in order for me to connect correctlly. their are two different ceiling fans.

Hello. It sound like Aloha Housewares is a vendor for ceiling fans, lighting fixtures, house hold things etc... There are several American companies that manufacture ceiling fans, which are of excellent quality.

Just measure the diameter of the fan glob. Contact American Fan Companies on the internet. They all should have replace parts for their products. The only one I think of now is Hunter Fan Co. I'm sure there is other excellent fan companies in the USA with their web site. Check it out.

Sorry, I could'n be more of assistance to you. stewbison.

Hi signhelper...
Here are a few things to check before you throw your dryer away for a new one...

Check and clean if necessary your vent hose.
If you vent hose "seems" to be clean then, try running the dryer with the vent hose off and see if the dryer is not running hot anymore.
Make sure your lint screen is in place and has no tears or holes in it and is still firmly attached to the frame.
If you are running too hot you are not moving enough air thru the system.
That will cause the overheating condition you describe
It could be that the fan blade is plugged up.
The problem could be a large lint ball build up in the center of the fan or a sock, thin pants,a pen, etc. that has gotten into the fan by falling down the hole where the lint screen is normally inserted.
You have to find the air restriction to solve the problem.
It also can be a loose or worn out blower wheel/fan.

The dryer hose fills with water, the lint trap never catches anything and the roof of the dryer gets hot but the clothes wont get dry. Any ideas? Thx

It sounds like you have no fan blowing. OR the vent is completely blocked so no air flow.

You could check fan by disconnecting the vent hose in back, and turn dryer on. Is is blowing a good volume of air? If so then you need to look at the vent. Any critter build a home in there? etc..

If there is no significant air blowing from the vent, you'll need to figure out why the fan is not blowing.
It's possible the fan is turning but is choked up and unable to move the air.
Perhaps the fan is bad, or there is a capacitor gone bad,.
That's as far as I can go from here.

Takes the dryer over two hours to dry one load of laundry. It appears to be putting out hot air. When I stop it to check the clothes, the clothes are usually really warm yet still wet. This has been going...

You have a venting problem. Some makes of condo size dryers have a lint screen inside the drum at the back. Check and clean. If not then there might be a screen in the wall or the ceiling of the room the dryer is in. Trace the vent from the dryer to the wall or ceiling. There should be a vent fan in the ceiling. Try asking the condo property management if there is an exhaust fan in the wall that needs cleaning.

Dryer takes a long time to warm up. It drys in 2 hours and does not shut off automatically. Maytag series 200

To make things properly, voltages to heating element should be tested, but that is a job that must be done by a technician.

Test first the heating fan. If it is not working replace the fan assembly.

Replace the heating element if that does not solve the problem replace the control board.

You can find schematics and diagrams by entering model number here.
