I just bought the Print Workshop 2009 and I put it in my computer and nothing happens. I also click run and typed in d:\setup.exe and it tells my it cannot find it

Try running the setup program manually. To do this, open My Computer, and then browse to your CD drive. Look for a file name setup.exe, and then double-click on it. It should start the setup process. If the setup process doesn't start, chances are you have a problem with the windows installer. To attempt a fix on it, click on Start, click Run. Then type sfc /scannow and press Enter. BUT before you do this, make sure you have the Windows CD installer.

Hello Cryspycritte, Thank you for the clarification. Your program is definitely compatible with Windows XP. What you will need to do is put Disc 1 of Print Workshop into your CD drive. Click on your start button in the lower left hand corner of your desktop, then click run (located right above the "turn off computer" button.) A run box will appear in the bottom left hand corner. In the box type: D:\setup.exe (where D is the letter of your cdrom.) A setup window will appear with the final steps for installation. If you have any installation issues please post a reply. The manual is already installed.
Most software have this installed.
Run the program and click on "Help".
Click on Tutorial or the like after.
I use PSP9 and it gives you step by step instructions on getting started all the way to advanced features.

You can do the following:
(1) Go to Start, Run, then type in D:\Setup.exe (D is whatever your DVD-Rom drive in). --->Follow the on-screen instructions.
(2) Go to my computer, right-click on the DVD-ROM, and choose the Autoplay or Run option.
(3) Right-click on the DVD, click on explore, and click on Setup option.

Also, make sure that your computer can accept DVDs.

Can you try to delete in "Control panel" "Add and Remove Program" .

Go to desktop--> right click the program icon--> Properties--> compatibility--> Use XP, for example

Follow the maker's install instructions for installing it on the proper OS and hardware.  Go on and use the graphical interface as they say, even if you use adaptive tools to do it (clicking on a disk icon is hard for blind people, after most fashions.)   If you can get an error message out of it, perhaps from installing from in Windows PowerShell instead of a start-menu command line, that would be an improvement.

Usually you just put the CD in the drive and it automatically runs. Do you have more than one CD? Sure you're starting with the right one? Once you have the CD in the drive, double click on My Computer, then double click on the Compac Disk drive icons. If that doesn't start it, it will at least display the names of the files on the CD. Look for the Setup program and double click on that. Good luck.

Kim....for the people that try to help on this site as well as tech forums or contacting the supplier you will need to be a bit more specific.....what is it that you see...there should be some sort of message. Forgetting that for the moment though you could have one of the following problems...a corrupt cd (meaning bad), incompatible with your operating system (if running an older O/S this is very possible since you are running a newer Value Print Workship), or a missing driver. Your best bet is to go to their website...valuesoft...and check FAQ's. There might be an answer there and if not try to use the support function.
