I changed out the ink cartridges on my 5100 a while ago. It worked fine for a while. Then, it started just spitting out blank paper. But on the paper you could see faint ink marks where they should be. So the printer is trying to print. And very miniscule amounts of ink or making it on to the paper. But its getting less and less. I checked the cartridges for the tape, calibrated it, uninstalled, re installed. I'm just stuck. Help?
My 5100 printer had a paper jam and after carefully pulling out the paper it will now, not print at all. It spits out two sheets of paper (blank) and then starts the third sheet, part way, pulls it back in part way and wrinkles it before spitting it out. Are my rollers out of sinc?""?" I have turned the printer off and back on, unplugged it from the electricity for 5 minutes then turned it back on and nothing works. It is not even a year old and worked so well before the paper jam. Help.................I need my printer to work.

I have the same problem. Everything on the printer is working just fine. It'll do a test page just fine, so everything's working right. The %$^ thing just won't print. It makes noise like it's printing when you give it a print job, but it spits out blank pages.
Sometimes your printer print blanks pages, if your printer is out of ink. You can check the quantity of ink in the status of the printer. Sometimes, your printer displays messages if it is out of ink. So if you are facing such issues, you need to refill the ink in your printer. Communication problem with the printer and computer is also a reason for printing blank pages.
Here are the things you will be asked to try if you call support. They may fix the problems as well. Taking the printhead out and putting it back in is the big helper.
Remove the black and color ink cartridges. Right above where the black ink cartridge was, in the top left hand corner of the printhead, push up towards the ceiling and you should be able to push a button that releases the printhead. Place the printhead right back into the printer and push straight back on the back wall. You should hear a loud snap. Replace the ink cartridges which should snap as well. Close the printer. After about a minute or so the printer will ask you to do a calibration. Insert a paper and press start. Scan the calibration sheet. After that, in the menu, do a printhead clean. (If this is a 5100, do it in the home center ->? in the top right ->Maintainence ->Clean Printhead.) Do one basic and one deep. Print a demo sheet to see if anything has changed. If the picture looks better, continue to do cleans. In the event that it does not, the printhead will need to be replaced and since the printer is still under warranty, Kodak specialists will try to overnight you a printhead. The whole process is short and free. The number for Kodak AiO Support is 1 800 421 6699.
I am currently having the same problem with a 17" iMac Intel Core Duo. The printer worked fine for a few months, now it will only print in black and white and sometimes in color that is extremely faded. I have tried every troubleshooting tip in the book and still no luck.
