Either open the back and look at the nic card which may have the mac address on it or download beliard advisor from their site and run it. Beliarc will give you all the info on your computer you want.

Why will my HP Pavilion dv6000 not read my router, what do I have to do toget my card to read wi fi signals?

First of all you have to make sure that your wireless network card is turned on...I believe the power switch is right below the edge of your left hand (right in the front of the laptop). the light should turn from orange to blue. When it does, it will either notify you of existing wireless network or you will have to manually have to search for network.
In Windows XP, simply right click the network icon [located in your bottom right corner of your screen] and click "View Wireless networks". In Windows Vista, left click on the wireless network icon [same location] and click connect or disconnect to now available wireless networks. In windows 7, the procedure is similar to the one in Windows Vista.

With secured networks, you will need the network key in order to connect, in others you will have to have your Media Access Control [MAC] address added to a MAC filter list in order to allow you to access the network...
What ever the case, it all depends on 1] Ensuring your wireless network card is turned on 2] Your computer is set to receive an IP address automatically...
I hope this was informative

there can be many steps to solve this dilemma and the easiest by far would be to remotely access your computer via the internet but aside from that, try logging in to your wireless router by opening internet explorer and then up in the URL instead of typing in www.whatever.com instead, type in the following:

192.168.1.1 let me know when you get that far - you want to make sure that mac address filtering is OFF

MAC address is appearing like zeros in the setup

Please update your question with your operating system and version. You can change your mac address via a software app in the OS or the registry in windows. However, if your MAC is reading as all 0's and you have not played with any MAC spoofing software to change the address there is a good chance that your network card has failed.

Wireless Connection Problem

The wireless card didn't get a IP address from the router when it booted up.
Right click on the wireless icon and then click on Repair.
This will force the wireless card to get a new IP address from the wireless router.

I signed in to my hp pavilion ze 20000 laptop and my icons dont wont to show all i see is my backhround

I think there is an application in CONTROL PANEL: APPEARANCE that if enabled will delete what it considers to be unused icons. This would need to be disabled. Or it might be in SCHEDULED TASKS. I'm on a Mac so I can't check it for you right now.

Acquiring Address Problem

you will need to make sure that DHCP is enabled within the routers settings as this will tell the router to assign ip addresses automatically, then go to network connections, right click on your network card>properties>TCP/IP line>properties and tick 'obtain an ip address automatically', click ok, close window and restart pc.

How much watts of power do i have?

the 9600GSO uses arounf 250 watts under load. While I cannot fing exact spec for the HP PSU I would be surprised if it were more that 350W. Is there any indication on the case or can you open the case up and look at the PSU?

9600 GSO Power

You need somthing in the order of 450W or greater. Get an Enermax, Corsair or other good quality PSU.
