Question about HP PhotoSmart M627 Digital Camera

When transferred to computer, video is all black but audio is still there??

Why would this be happening? for every video that I have transferred to my computer (windows vista - dont even get me started on that) the audio works fine, but there's just all black instead of video? Similar problem here. Video used to transfer fine onto laptop but now it only transfers the video with no visual (it's black). Odd thing is that I can view the videos when they are still on the camera.

Anyone know of a solution for this? I'm desperate for my videos!

I have the same problem - although the video clips are transferred from the camera, they are just black in HP photosmart. They can still be viewed ok on the camera though.

Video part doesnt transfer to computer just audio

Depending on the type of equipment you are using, you may need two connections between the source device and the computer. Audio cards will only transfer the audio portion from the source. You would need a video capture method in order to get the video. Some cameras will have a USB or IEEE1394 (Firewire) connection which will allow video transfer. You will also need a software package to edit the captured video/audio. If you have a late model PC, the Microsoft Movie Maker is usually pre installed and will work fine for basic projects.

When transferring a video to my 30GB Ipod I get a red number 1 circle and the video does not transfer

iPod supports only mp4 and h.264 video, you have to convert your video to iPod compatible video at first, then add the converted video to iTunes library, plug in your iPod to computer, sync your iPod with iTunes, done. If you need detailed info, here is a step by step guide will teach you how to put DVD and video to iPod

Transfering video ... but no audio is coming

normally, cameras send audio separately on a different cord. if it does have a separate audio cord, this will likely be plugged in to the blue input on the audio card of the computer.

This happened to me. I know the solution. I uninstalled everio mediabrowser program that came on cd with the camcorder. The result was that I could not hear the sound when I played my videos. If you install Everio Mediabrowser again, the audio will play.

I want to transfer casettes to a cd.

To transfer any audio or video casette to cd you need an audio casette player/vcp or vcr for playing back the video on the computer, a video capture card installed on the computer and the software to capture the video like Pinnacle which will save the audio/video file in mp3, mpeg format on the computer. The casette player or the vcr can be attached to the computer tower through the video capture card.

Videos will not transfer into my computer.

What the hell. I am having this exact problem. Has anyone gotten an answer yet? Maybe I'm gonna try turning off audio just to see if video will show up. Please email me if somebody gets a answer If I don't get this figured out. I will throw my HP laptop, PC, and printer in the trash. I will also tell everybody I know not to waste their money on a product that gets no support.
