I bought a karaoke machine and it is not compatible with my iPod without a dock connector. What is that?? Can you help please??? Thanks!!

Hello Nada19,

The dock connector is the connector at the bottom of the iPod which the USB cable you use to connect the iPod to your computer plugs into. This is also the connector that is used to connect your iPod to a "dock" such as this one. An iPod dock, like this one is a device that you drop your iPod into for charging. It typically also has a connection for external speakers that can be used with the dock.

Not all models of iPod have a dock connector. And the actual layout of the dock connector varies from model to model. It sounds like you will need to use an iPod model that does have a dock connector to interface with the karaoke machine. You may also need an interface cable. Consult the documentation of your karaoke machine for more detailed info.
