Where do I get the wire harness that will connect my jvc kd-s580 car stereo to my 1999 Honda Accord. I had this stereo already but it was stolen and they took the wire harness that connected them together. I bought the same stereo but no wire harness, where do I find this?

hi peter, before you start using the rest of the harness cables find out if the harness you have is a jvc original for your model. the black wire is the ground/chassis cable only for a jvc kd-r411. you mite be using a compatible fitting harness whose " wire colour configuration" is incorrect for your model. cheers.
First you need to get a wire harness for the Chevy (check Ebay) then follow the wiring instruction inside the package on how to join the spliced wires togother. After joining the wires togother plug the harness in and stuck the JVC into the recess where the old stereo was and thats it, it should play if not you don`t have a good ground, ground the body to the frame.
The harness looks like what is depicted on this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC--16-PIN-WIRE-HARNESS-FOR-CD-PLAYER-BLACK-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ370214069143QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090612?IMSfp=TL090612198008r8862 This
connector fits the following JVC Car Radio/CD/MP3 Players with
16 pin connection.
All wires are labeled. Hope this helps....................sodeep
