Question about KitchenAid KUDS01DJ - Multiple Color Dishwasher
When I started the dishwasher last night, after a few minutes I noticed a good bit of water leaking on the floor. I stopped it, drained it, and have not used it again yet. Any ideas?
It could be:
a dirty door seal
a clogged pipe on the pressure sensor causing it to overfill
a genuine leaking hose
Much depends on where it is leaking from. The door seals can be cleaned with a detergent laden cloth, hard grime removed with a plastic scouring pad or a blunt knife (with care)
A clogged sensor pipe needs to be removed and cleaned out - access will most likely be from beneath. While you are there you can check the hoses for leaks too!
As a starting point I would put a kettle or two of very hot water and a generous dose of detergent into the machine and try to let it clean itself. While it is doing that try to spot where the leak is. There may not be one if it was overfilling.
I hope this helps.
