A spot appears on the pictures my daughter takes with her FinePix F20 and on the LCD display. When she zooms the display out, the spot spreads and lightens, as if it's out of focus. When she zooms in, the spot tightens and darkens. She took the camera to the beach, so I suspect that a grain of sand somehow found it's way into the lens. But, when I examine the lens from the outside, even with a magnifying glass, I don't see anything a grain of sand or anything that could cause a spot.
What do you think? Grain of sand? If so, how do I get it out? Or could it be something else?

I have exactly the same problem with the same camera. I suspect mine too is sand getting into the camera, but can't see anything on the lens.
The spot is close enough to the centre to be annoying so I'm going to have to try to dismantle it to get this out as the camera is useless to me in its current state.
Does anyone know of a disassembly guide for the F20? Any hints on how best to take it apart would help.
"annual internal cleaning" although I don't know what they will charge. Taking apart the optics is challanging and risky.
