I have this same model tv, and it worked last night and it has not worked all day, we have unplugged and tried a different outlet and it still will not turn on. The "red" power light will not even turn on when we attempt to turn it on.

I turned off my TV before going to work yesterday morning and when I came home, I tried to turn it on and can't get it to turn on. I have tried all the same things that cindyp60's tried. Still no luck. Any suggestions?

The power will not turn on. It was being used one day, and then the next morning it would not turn on. I have checked the power plug and all seems OK.

I have the same problem, does anyone have a soultion?

I don't know if this will solve the problem, but I had the same and unplugged it for 10 seconds then plugged it back in.  That fixed the problem.

We turned ours off and now it won't turn on. We have tried unplugging it, leaving it unplugged, then plugging back in and still nothing. The red power indicator light does not come on at all.

Can you verify that 55PW9363 is the actual model number of your set? Also does the power indicator light up when you press power? Please respond to this same post

I just bought a Hitachi rear projection tv off craigslist. Tv worked fine, I gently transported to get it home, plugged it in and for nothing. The red light comes on and it sounds like its trying to come...

no matter how careful you going to be moving it something is going to come lose. may even be a bad soldering joint and it come away completely. you will need to check the power board very carefully looking for somthing that dont look right. also this can happen in transit the outer case for the bulb housing may have moved away from the switch that would make the tv not turn on at all as it needs to be pushed in. take the cover of it and then put back on locating the switch you will see the switch when the cover for the buld is removed..

My Philips 51PP9200D/37 tv won't turn on. The lighted power button stays lite but nothing else happens. Could this be the Flyback transformer?

It could but it could be about 50 other things as well. You have a voltmeter, and know how to use it? going to need a service manual as well.

My hitachi 1999 tv turns on but off right away has flashing green lights in back

If the flashing green lights are on the circuit board each is tied to a voltage from the power supply----likely damage is there but a 99 may not be economical to fix in 2012.

WD-65734 Mitsubishi TV won't turn on. System reset

Are there any lights lit on the front of the TV? Have you checked for a bad lamp? When you reset the TV the timer/power light should flash on and off rapidly for 60-70 sseconds. Does that happen?
