Question about Samsung HL-P5063W 50" Rear Projection HDTV

Loud humming noise with lamp failure

I have read a lot of issues that linked back to the lamp, and our problem was the same, 3 blinking light on front power button. However, we additionally have a loud humming noise that began when the tv first shut down with the lamp issue. I have replaced the lamp, but the "Humming" remains. It is not a loud squeal, as decribed as a symptom for the color wheel, so i figure it is probably a fan? if so, where can i get a replacement?

I'm not getting any lamp warnings, but I started getting the humming sound a couple of days ago. After a few minutes, it goes away and so far the TV still works fine.

    Loud humming Noise near lamp

Replaced the bulb as directed in the manual when all three lights blink on the power button.  Had humming noise before and now after bulb replacement and now humming louder and TV intermittently shutting down.

About a week ago I replaced the lamp in my samsung hls24266 with no incident. Now when I turn the tv on, I hear a very loud humming noise. I tried disconnecting the coaxial cable but it does not go away....

I can't explain the timing of your problem and why it showed up after lamp replacement, but Samsung color wheel failures are usually associated with a rather loud hum. I would removed the back, jumper the lamp door switch and try to determine exactly where the hum is originating from. I think you'll find the color wheel is the culprit.

No Picture, Power light Blinking 3 times then repeats

3 times blink shows lamp cover is removed or not installed properly on TV.
Please take out lamp inside TV and check, seems its broken as you heard loud pop.
Thanks.

I have the same problem with the HLR4667W model.

The noise could be from the try joint on the main Board please try resoldering them all.
Main filters are common to be targeted.

TV makes humming noise, lamp light is blinking, does not turn on

Your color wheel needs to be changed. Mine just did the same thing. I changed mine, and the buzzing sound went away, however now my picture washes out with light or yellow colors. The darks look green and purple also.

No picture or sound

Hi, your color wheel needs to be replaced, the bearings fail causing the grinding noise, the new ones use "air bearings" so they are supposed to last much longer, video-tek

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525. This morning my TV would not turn on so I pressed the rest button. After the Timer light stopped blinking I pressed power. I could hear the fans start than a somewhat loud...

the status light blinking red means a fan (the unit hs 4 of them) has failed. you need to determine which one. use the self diagnostic function:
Error Code Operational Check
Note:
The TV must be in “Shut Down” and not manually switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational
Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to “12” No Error.
Press the front panel “DEVICE” and “MENU” buttons at the same time, and hold for 5 seconds to
activate the Error Code Operational Check. The LED will then flash denoting a two digit Code.
Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.
• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.
• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.
• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.
Example: If the Error Code is “32”, the LED will flash three times, pause, and then flash two times.
• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.

and read the code.
35= Chassis Fan failure
36 =Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37= Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
