Purplish/blue spot on screen

I have a Panasonice rear Projection Screen t.v. Model Number PT-44LCX65. We have have the bulb replace about 6 months ago and I am not sure if this is a bulb problem again. Right now the spot is about the size of a softball and getting bigger each day. We have called the repair company since it is under warranty, but they are telling us it is just the bulb. has anyone else had this problem and if so what was wrong with yours??

Howdy,
The problem is with the EEPROM in the TV that needs to be reprogrammed. But you need to have the proper Correction Tool (LSUQ0100).
I don't think it's available to the public. Call a Service Company, but make sure they have the “Correction Tool”.

Over past couple of months the tv has gotten 2 red spots in the lower right hand corner of screen about an inch in diameter, and recently a green spot in center top third of screen that is about 2 inches...

Unfortunately your light engine(also know as optic block) may need to be replaced. If your tv is out of warranty, it will probably cost around $1000 to fix. There is a slim possibility that the optics lens could have dust on it and a tech could clean it for much less than that. This is a very common problem in any dlp tv and they are all expensive to fix. I've replaced several of them at our shop, but about half of the customers won't have the tv fixed and will get a new one. Good luck!

Green blue and red spots across screen. I changed the bulb a few months ago.

You need to contact a serviceman. Your light engine needs replaced. Panasonic requires prior tech authorization for parts order fulfillment such as this. PN: TZSC03045 It will be costly, roughly $800 with $250 core charge. Labor and trip fees are another thing altogether. I hope this helps.

Panasonic projection lcd pt-44lcx65 pink wavy lines

The problem is the computer in the TV is set to hold data for 2500 "On/Offs" Once you turn the TV on and off 2500 times, the dots start to appear as the computer cannot store anymore date. Call Panasonic, they will send a tech to your house for free and reset the computer and update it at the same time from 2500 to 1 million on/offs so it wont happen again. It takes maybe 10 mins to complete.

Hope this helps.
