    I tried it. :( It didn't work. I was reading through this and I remembered, a while back I needed to do a recovery format to it.

    I would like to do that again because it was the same problem and it worked tell now...so I would like to do that, but the problem is, I don't remember how. :(
    Can someone tell me how to do this again?

    Thanks,

Car ran fine shut it off came back it didn't want to start. started went about half a mile sputered an died wouldn't start back up 1991 subaru loyal wagon

Hi sounds like the typical fuel pump or filter problem with these cars, best way to tell is take top fuel hose off on fuel filter under hood, turn key on ignition (not start) and fuel should pump out, if not its your pump, just beware of doing when engine is hot

I have a 99 dodge caravan. just recently my fuel gauge stop working. Then would start to work. Its like every other day. When I suddenly braked the gasuge went to empty and the automatic locks...

Probably not. Sounds like a bad ground. The ground connecting point for the door is behind the drivers side kick panel, lower left. And the ground for the fuel sending unit is on the drivers side fender well. First I would unplug the connection at the tank (you can usually access this plug without drooping the tank) and check for corrosion. Clean it if any and take a paper clip and bend the tabs a little in the plug to make a better connection.

I have a wirless xbox 360 headset and it was working about 4 days ago and I had it on charge when it died when I went to charge it wouldn't charge or turn on and I have had it to long to take back to...

so you are saying that you have a chargeable microsoft headset and the last time you tired to charge it. it would not work... it sounds like your rechargeable battery is dead and you might need a new one. also try you head set on a friends unit and see if it works, at the same time take their chargeable battery and place it in your headset and see if it works that will tell you if it is your headset or the battery..

Ipod will fully charge but only lasts a short time. whats wrong?

My little brother gave me his ipod shuffle for the same reason, saying the battery was dying and would only play for half an hour after a full night's charge. However, I went ahead and gave it a shot anyway and it always lasts for several hours (long enough that it's never died, so I don't know an actual time).

Anyway, it turned out to be a usb hardware problem. His old computer wasn't built to charge via usb, so the ipod would take what little it could and flop five songs later. I don't know what kind of hardware you're running, but perhaps you could try plugging it into a different computer and seeing if that chnges things?

I would also recommend looking into wall chargers, if that is the case. Otherwise the convenience factor kinda goes out the window.

Battery goes dead

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Your post/description indicates two possibilities:
  • faulty the voltage regulator (most likely);
  • loose/corroded connectors (likely);
  • faulty alternator/stator (least likely).
Depending on the country of manufacture and/or the country of intended use, the voltage regulator would look something like the image below.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Bike Died - No Power

i would check if you have a short somewhere.....but first make sure your battery connections are tight....gauges turning off and on while riding is usually a sign of a loose connection meaning you hit a bump or something and it briefly clips out...did the bike actually turn off??? i dunno....but that seems to be a very odd problem....take out the battery, put it on a trickle and let it charge to full cap....then reconnect making sure the terminal connections are secure and see what happens.... if that works, we''ll have to start diagnosing further, but like they always say, check the obvious first !
