I think what I am trying to do is synchronize the codes for the remote and the main unit. I tried holding the function key, but do not get the "Other Functions" on the screeen so cannot go forward with the set up process. I also tried using a pointed object to hold the reset. After doing that several times, I did get "Language" on the screen - with English highlighted, but none of the arrow keys will work. Now the clock flashes 12:00 a.m. and I cannot use the function key to reset the clock. Along the way, the VCR window showed SP & IN 1. That is the most response I have gotten all through this process. I do have a new remote control on order to be delivered on July 8th. I can only hope that will help my problem. Thanks again for reviewing the process and giving your advice. Cecelia

SOURCE: DMR-EZ485V -- slideshow of JPEG pictures not in correct sequence

Adjust pictures sequence before burning? usually they can be sorted by file name, date photo taken, date modified.

Some slideshow software also allows you to drag pictures to any position in sequence you want, say Wondershare Movie Story I am using.

I'm having the same problem.. says HELLO and won't do anything else. I can turn it off by holding the off button for 10 seconds. It doesn't play VHS or DVDs and doesn't even come up with a signal anymore....anyone with any advice? I've only had it for a year - is this totally broken or what?

Hi I have recently got a Hitachi HDR255 250gb Freeview + recorder. The problem i've got is that when I am in live Tv Mode and I want to rewind it will only rewind back about 5-10 seconds and then...

Jim, it may say it on the box, but as i found out today, this recorder does not allow the rewinding of live TV. In fact, it seems that few freeview+ boxes do, even if the box says so. I had to return a hdr255 to Argos today for this very reason.

How do I work my camcorder

What brand of DVD recorder? On my Panasonic, I use RCA cables to connect my camcorder to the yellow and white inputs on the front of the DVR. I have to press "input select" on the remote a few times until I get to L2, I think. This is a "line in" sort of setting and it directs the DVR to get its input from the RCA-style cables. Have your camcorder playing something you've recorded in its Video mode. If your TV is on the correct input (mine is called "Video 2", I think), you should see the camcorder image on your TV screen. Now, just rewind to the beginning of your camcorder tape. Insert a DVD-R disk (that's what mine takes) in your DVR. Hit Play on your camcorder and quickly press REC on the DVR remote. Let me know if this doesn't work.

HD Video Recorder - CEC connection with HDTV

My first question would be, Is your Panasonic HD recorder CEC compliant? CEC means Consumer Electronics Control. That simply allows for the consumer to have better control over their Home Theater set up through the connection of you HDMI cable from their remote control without programing the remote control for every single device that is connected. If your recorder is CEC compliant the television should have automatically recognize the recorder and control you recorder via remote control (I am assuming that your recorder is an HD Camcorder, since your description was very vague). Once you connect your HD camcorder to your panasonic tv the tv should have turned on switching to the correct input and the same for any other CEC comliant devices. If your Panasonic HD recorder is not CEC compliant the you would have to start viewing your recorder the old fashion way, by using the recorder remote control or if your Toshiba remote is universal punch those codes in so that you can control your devices that way. If that don't work, try a different HDMI input and select the input and make sure your recorder is set to output on you tv. Hope this helps.....before I forget, check out this site to learn more about Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) http://www.videsignline.com/howto/207400325

Direct tv hdbox & Plasma TV & DVD SSound system & DVD recorder

Need to make sure you have the red, white, and yellow rca connection cables ran from the samsung dvd player to the red, white, yellow input on the back of the dvd recorder. Once you do that make sure you put your dvd recorder on line 1 input. If you look closely on the back of your recorder it should say line 1 input. If your recorder isn't on that input you can put the recorder on line 1 input by using dvd recorder remote and pushing the input button. Make sure you don't push the tv input button the dvd recorder remote there should be a seperate input button or a way to toggle the inputs on the recorder. Once you verify all that turn on your tv and go to the input on your tv that you watch the dvd recorder on and you should see what your recording on the tv.

You probably have a bad power supply. But as you will learn, repairing any VCR will cost more than buying a new one.
