Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

I have just installed ICVerify Software on one of our companies pc's. When sending the credit card batch for authorization the software comes back with cannot detect modem. An older version of the same software we used previously had Java load first and then it was able to send the batch using the internet. I do I get the new program to do the same thing, no modem but dial using the internet?

It's possible you got a bad batch of discs or your drive might be going bad. Or maybe your burning software isn't very good.

Try burning the disks with Imgburn. It's FREE, works great, and you can get it here:

I payed 19.99 on my credit card to this software and now it will not let me do anything i also have my activation code they gave me

That's probably because is a virus disguised as a program, what I recommend you is to call to your credit card company and report the charge as fraud, don't tell that you agree to pay but then you discovered is a virus because they will keep the charge posted... -..- and something else is 2 run a virus scan with your antivirus, hopes this help! Best regards Luis!

Credit card sales connection times out

This can occur due to several causes. A bad internet connection, the EFTSVR file being stuck, or in some cases the antivirus software on the system has not been told to ignore the EFTSVR, so it scans it before it allows it to send, causing it to time out.

How to use dvd burner

If your system came with a DVD burner, suitable disc burning software (Nero or Roxio are common) should have been pre-installed. Run the burning program and look at its "help" screens, or visit the company's website, for information on using the program.

If you've just put a DVD burner in a system that only had a CD burner, you should install new burning software. The drive may have come bundled with a program. If it didn't, CDBurnerXP or InfraRecorder are good basic programs, and both are free.

If you want to be able to author video DVDs with menus, you'll need other software. DVDFlick is a free authoring program that works very well.

Hope this will help get you going. Thanks for using Fixya!

I installed the virus remover and used my credit card and it is still saying i have to pay i have confirmation what do i do

The best way for you to do this is to find out the phone number for customer support on the company's website and call them. KEEP THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER NO MATTER WHAT. That means that the company either ripped you off, are having problems with servers, or the money hasnt been transferred yet. If you can't find the number to call them post the name of the virus software and the company on here and ill find it for you

Well i was supposed to have downloadedthe antivirus from mcafeeabout 4 weeks ago, they tell me that they have no record of the transaction, i have been trying to gt this matter straightened out, with no...

If Mcafee has no record then contact the crdit card company or if it is a debit visa contact your bank and talk to the person in charge of card services for credit or debit cards, explain about the fruadulent transaction, the sooner the better. You may have to fax them a statement that the transaction is not authorized.
