My fridgidaire front load washer just started having an issue last night while washing a load of jeans. My said said it made a noise like the load was uneven but she did not think anything of it. When I went to put the jeans in the dryer they were soaked. I tried to re-start the washer several times on different settings and no luck. It starts off like it is fine and then kick off but the lights stay on. I have unplugged it to reset but this did not help. Any suggestions??? PLEASE

Is your AC supply very stable? The manufacturers repair manual states that the AC supply of 120V may only fluctuate +10% or -15%

you would need to take out the whole drum assm....in other words you will need to dismantle the whole unit.....first thing first get lysol aerosol spray and spray around were there is mold.....i would take the unit outside and then spray it.....becuase once the mold have been disturbed it will find another place to live on......next u will need to use front load HE detergent......when you wash your laundry....start with the cold water clothes first then the last loads use hot water so it will wash clothes and disinfect at the same times...
lastly after all luandry have been washed ........open washer door over night so it can air out.......if not opening it at all the water and detergent that sits over night can cuase mold buildup and foul odors.....the gaskets are air tight and can not evaporate when door is closed.....
if your house has a/c i would put a fan in front of the washer over night..............

the older top load washers are better..............

2 possible issues with your washer.
1 or both the support shocks or springs have broken
the drum would look off center even when empty
or rear bearring has worn out.
this is a very common problem with the fridgidaire washer... (this kenmore is a frigidaire model)
problem is caused by very hard water (well water) or improper use of detergent. this machine uses a High efficency type detergent, marked by "HE" on the detergent container

You need to replace your washer, the Inner tub Spider broke.. I repaired mine, With me doing the labour, $285 just for the part alone. plus about 3 to 4 hours labour.

sorry no recalls on fridgidaire front load,,there pretty good units,,the mildew and slugg comes from not using he or low suddsing detergent..now dont move so fast ,,because a new spin basket may not solve your problems with noise..check that back tub bearing while you have it a part..now that unit is fresh and new ,,clean the unit every other month with bleach..hot wash cold rinse,,that will keep suds slug and smell out unit...onthejob

Try going to GVIINC.net - there product definately works.

press cancel. (turns off washer)
press start/pause (wake up)
hold cancel and start/pause 10sec

last error code will come up.

E47 door lock error

check wires connections to the door lock..

replace door lock..

if this is a fridgidaire washer, I guess it's a clogged coin catcher. You have remove the front access panel and clean it out. I am working on that now.
